George Wallace staged his standing in the doorway of the University of Alabama to break the news to the hard core that it was time to integrate that school with others to come.............The governor of Mississippi was had agreed to do the same a couple of years earlier......But he chickened out, stood there and did not move,,,,,and things at the University of Mississippi got real ugly and violent.......Unlike the University of Alabama where George Wallace kept his word with Washington D.C.......Maybe you should read George Wallace's Segregation Then Now and Forever speech,,,,,It ain't what it has been made out to be .....In that speech he rails against housing descrimination and people faking about doing something about it......In that same speech he states that a man who does not go the college should be able to get the skills to earn enough to buy a house in the same neighborhood as man who did not go to college......Except for the segregation then now and forever cover,,,,,that speech was progressive.............There are some pretty lowdown rotten politicians from the South's history that would make a better rotten example.....Like mayde a Jesse helms,,,,,or any of recent decades, and years or todays republicans .......who are much more rotten that many of the South's past dixiecrats..........Dixiecrats got black people's votes,,todays and recent years republicans can't......There are reasons for that
Yes, but Ms. Davis is not God.
