I was going through my old music and uploaded an album by one of my favorite bands a decade ago. The drummer got deported and the band fell apart so this demo album is all they ever put out... and only a few copies were ever made.
The first song (Pogrom) is the best anti-war song from the early days of the Iraq war. Really worth a listen if you like heavy metal. A great song and, for me at least, a time capsule to a time and place where everything took a dark turn; New York right after 9/11. Hearing this song in a club felt as much like a cathartic victory for us ant-war types as any protest march. It didn't stop anything, but it felt good to rage.
Yeppers. Friggin' mansions compared to my abode...
Really, if one has enough glass to see easily outside, 100-150 sq ft should about hold a single person's necessities.
I suppose that regulations vary considerably from state-to-state. I could see many of them surviving unscathed during a large CA quake, but no way most could get built in CA. Prob. could put one in much of FL, but keep a trailer handy when hurricanes are forecast.
I am constantly amazed at the utter ignorance of the K0CHservative rube.
Michael Brown - The Wall Street Journal Aug, 28, 2015FEMA director, whose Katrina response prompted President George W. Bush to say, " Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job." The comment became an emblem of a federal government seemingly out of touch with the suffering in New Orleans. Mr Brown was forced out two weeks after Katrina./Top GOP management team in action. We can't let these A-Holes that Hate Government, back into the White House./Get out the VOTE, Remember what happened in 2010?We need to do better this time around.
That's "Give me one ping Vasshhili. One ping only."
