Gee. God punishes us by attacking a woman who WANTS her baby? Come back to me when actual lightning strikes an abortion clinic.
Rico Rodriguez (usually simply known and billed as "Rico") is the most famous trombonist to have come out of Jamaica other than Don Drummond. In fact, he was a younger schoolmate of Drummond, who tutored him on the trombone. He was a pioneer in bringing ska to the UK, recording such classics as the album Brixton Cat for Trojan records. His is the trombone you hear on all of the early 2-Tone recordings, and he also put out a series of excellent albums in the seventies and eighties -- one on 2-Tone itself (Jama Rico) produced by Jerry Dammers and upon which many 2-Tone artists appear. With the success of 2-Tone and the burgeoning of a Far Asian reggae scene, especially in Japan and later Thailand, he began touring extensively in Asia, and recorded a live album in Japan called Rising in the East, but i couldn't find it in the time i took to check -- if i find it elsewhere i'll send you a link. I did, however, find a clip whose audio was recorded in Japan during his 2006 Asian tour.
Tom Waits ~ Going Out West
Wow, how much gay is this lawyer hiding?
Not piling his gold ingots into a neat little pile?
