Delusional Krauthammer
By John Amato Monday Jul 16, 2007 2:20pm
Whiskey Fire takes apart Charles and his mind-numbing op-ed. Only in Krautsworld would his central argument be that pulling out of Iraq might make General Petraeus cry...or something....

He's not delusional, he's just being his old fascist self.
Immediate withdrawal means no phone call in the morning.
nice screen cap
You would think after everything Fox has said about anyone that doesnt agree with this administration I would be used to it by now and just ignore it. That little ticker on the bottom really pisses me off.
That photo looks like they propped up a corpse
miss_kitty @ 3:
Oh My God! He looks like that in his op ed portrait...
He is scary.
God help FOX if the FCC is ever rehabilitated.
Kerry @ 5:
No joke! One with his lips sewed shut. Morticians did not do a very good job.
Somewhat apropos, considering the rather dismal fate of the Republican party at present.
I don't think the FCC has jurisdiction over cable-I could be wrong, though.
Great screen capture of Zorak.
He looks like a snapping turtle.
Has this guy become an American yet? Is he still Canadian?
He is a man in wheel chair, who is via his warmongering, pandering too this image of himself as a inteligent right winger know it all, is laughable, one can pity him for being in wheel chair, but his pathetic warmongering is sad, like his buddy William "bloody bill" Crystal and his warmongering pandering too their right wing buddies...., these two men one a cripple trying too find some meaning in his life and a mental cripple in the opposite of him in William "bloody bill" Crystal, I wonder if another factor in this Krauthammer fellow is maybe his "Jewish roots" is he another example of Joe "MOSAD" Lieberman who pretends too be a american patriot but has masters in Israel...?
He looks like that because he has some severe physical disabilities. We should be more concerned with his mental issues. He is one of the original PNACers -- no better than the Bloody Bill Kristol, in my opinion.
I think that Krauthamer is paralyzed in a wheel chair (quadraplegic or pariplegic) from a swimming accident. In any event, I don't think it does our side any good to discount the terrorist threat, how bad Sadam Hussein was, and the recent dramatic turn-around in Anbar Province in our favor.
Krauthammer and the rest of the Nazi Zionists want to see the destruction of Israel, not its protection.
Remember, kids: In these times, if our leaders say it's day, you can take it to the bank that it's night.
off topic, but useful: According to HuffPo, the Republicans will meet the filibuster challenge.
Next question: How long will it take for the Deomcrats to cave... AGAIN...
?
when C&L posts an article on this, the Fur Will Fly....
Yes, we all agree...Charles K. looks like he has arisen from his coffin.
But, on a serious note, that asshole, in his article says that to discontinue
the surge plan "at the beginning" would be wrong. Doesn't that turd know
that the surge began in late January(5 1/2 months ago) and that the last
supplement of troops(1,000 or thereabouts) arrive about two weeks ago...
as if 1,000 will make any difference anyway. Guess he has been listening
toooo much to Brit Hummmm and Freddie Barnes and the other "Faux Noise
All Stars" and does not realized what a total, complete dishonest and lying
SOB he is....guess not, since he continues to repeat the same ol shit day
in and day out. Crawl back into your coffin and let us Remain in Peace.
Never has one man gotten so much mileage out of so little talent or intelligence.
Ok, I'm wrong. George Bush has.
My bad. I didn't realize he was physically handicapped. Too bad he doesn't use his brain more to compensate.
RH, with talk like that you are going to scare off Jewish support. There are many liberal Jews who support our withdrawal from Iraq and the middle-east.
DB @ 16:
Correct. Nor should we discount the liars and murderers we call "leaders," how much of a non-threat our old buddy Saddam was to us, and the recent dramatic turnaround against our favor in the currency and international trade markets.
Doggiebobo @ 19:
Of course he does. He's just repeating THE BIG LIE.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
And here I thought Dr. Strangelove was a fictional character.
The Kraut says oil agreements are crucial to stabilizing Iraq.
We want to steal their oil. But the Iraqi people say we have no right to it.
They're not going to let us just walk away with their greatest, most valuable natural resource. No matter what Bush and Cheney want. And unless we give up this fantasy and go away - it will stay bloody and awful in Iraq and Americans and Iraqis will continue to die.
That - my dear Kraut - is NOT stabilization.

Joementum @ 15:
Woops, didn't know he was disabled. I made a boo-boo. I have a hard time feeling sympathy for these folks, though, I really do. Vitter and wife were trying so hard to paint themselves as victims yesterday and it just makes me ill. If it weren't for the hypocrisy, I would feel sorry for them. I do feel sorry for the kids, though.
The dramatic "turn around" in anbar simply means that we have switched sides again. (The righties conveniently forget that the tribal leaders who were cooperating with us were mostly wiped out in a suicide hotel bomb last month -- calling a conference of your "allies" in Iraq is not ever a particularly good idea.)
It is positivly Orwellian how frequently the enemy becomes our friend. Remember when the resistance was all disaffected Sunni Saddam holdouts and the Shia were the good guys? Well, now that we have poured billions in weapons to various Shia death squads (otherwise known as "the Iraqi police") it is time to fund their enemies.
Where does it all end? Well, a report today says that we should be very afraid of al Queda using trained fighters from Iraq to attack us here at home. Hmm, I wonder who trained and equipped those fighters?
Is there anybody in Iraq that we haven't armed?
Reid on Republican denial on discussion
Please somebody tell me of one war in which an invading army actually kept the land (in peace) and incorporated it into its own territory.
The Neo-cons are desperate because when the troops leave it will be a bloodbath and will expose cheney, bush and the neo-con cabal up for crimes against humanity and they know it. they operate only on the basis of plausible deniability
Repugs. think immediate withdrawal only means with their whores and prostitutes they are hiding.
George@28:
Thanks for invoking the name of my dead bastard father. I'm sure he'll turn once in his grave in your honor. :-)
George, I don't think it does our side any good to blame America for everything. I know we probably caused 9/11 but still, the terrorists were not our best friends either.
In the long run, agreements on oil, federalism and de-Baathification are crucial for stabilizing Iraq. But their absence at this moment is not a reason to give up in despair, now that we finally have a counterinsurgency strategy in place that is showing success against the one enemy -- al-Qaeda -- that both critics and supporters of the war maintain must be fought everywhere and at all cost.
Well thank you for being honest about how important oil is to Bush's "war". In regards to your last comment though, we now how the high ground to go anywhere in the world and invade sovereign countries. We can also do this unilaterally without input from the rest of the civilized world and with no fiscal restraint whatsoever. I'm sure this just thrills the rest of the world no end. On the other hand though in a few years they'll own the United States due to all the money they will have loaned us so in the end who will be laughing last?
How these people's minds work amazes me. What also amazes me is that they're given a platform to spout these illconceived notions to an unsuspecting nation.
Joementum @ 15:
Cut from similar cloth, the Kraut is equally repulsive and evil - along for the ride on the mindless (but NOT headless) power trip.
They are both human waste.
*
I didn't know he's physically challenged. (I thought it was only mentally.) Now I feel bad for comparing him to a purely evil, human-sized, praying mantis. I hope no members of his family are reading this comment thread.
I thought HERMAN MONSTER was dead.
I just don't care anymore. I care about the war and all involved, I just don't care what guys like this have to say anymore. No matter what they say, things don't change and people keep on getting killed. They can crow all they want because I'm not listening. What they say just doesn't matter. Reality is what counts.
pine nut @ 27:
Just thought I'd point that out. Truth is, I have zero pity for him. He's an unrepentant supporter of a pointless conflict that has left thousands in worse shape than he is. They're building a wheelchair-access ramp in hell just for him.
Pursang @ 34:
darn it, hate when I typo. That second sentence should read "we now HAVE the high ground" instead of "how the high ground". And just to be perfectly clear, I'm not stating we do have the high ground to do such things, just basically putting his statements into a clearer picture for my own sake.
Truthseeker @ 25:
Reminds me of one of my all-time favorite movie lines: “Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!”
Pravda on Potomac keeps this clown on staff why? Oh yea the same reason broder, hiatt, applebaum and cohen are kept on.
Rusty Shackleford @ 36:
You know, I looked him up after someone mentioned he's paralised. He's also got an MD from Harvard, which he completed during his rehab after the accident.
However I only kinda feel bad about commenting on his looks, because it is really a shallow observation, and not germane to the topic.
How can a guy so smart be so stupid?
Only faux would give idiots like Chucky a podium to his rants.
Trittydi @ 26:
Isn't it ironic that the asshole is a psychiatrist. Yet he can't see how sick and diseased his own mind and our batshit president's mind really is. Maybe it has something to do with bitterness in being trapped in a broken body. Who knows(or cares).
miss_kitty @ 43:
Frist has an MD degree too. Possessing an education doesn't mean you have common sense or decency.
I know it's incorrect to say this, but I am so fed up with these death loving neocons that are so quick to send others to die. Krauthammer's soul is as twisted as his body.
Is this guy paralyzed from the neck down? He sure looks it.
Christ, he's scarey.
So, did they have the vote on habeus corpus...or is that yesterday's news?
Little known fact: Charlie Krauthammer is actually Leon Klinghoffer, who floated/rolled ashore in 1985, was nursed back to health by a family of Cypriot fisherman, changed his name to - well, you know - and began writing LTEs to the Nicosia Picayune-Gazette.
The rest is history. It also explains why he always looks a bit waterlogged.
Liberal AND Proud @ 51:
L&P, to most Americans, that was never news.
As you can see, the man is a Prophet. Ha! He is batting 0%!!!
How the hell does he keep a column?
On the Iraq War --
On February 1st, 2002 Krauthammer claimed in his column:
“ Iraq is Hitlerian Germany, a truly mad police state with external ambitions and a menacing arsenal.[12] ”
On April 19th, 2002 Krauthammer insisted in his column:
“ Saddam survived, rearmed, defeated the inspections regime and is now back in the business of building weapons of mass destruction.[13] ”
In 2002 Krauthammer warned:
“ [...] if he [Saddam Hussein] comes into possession of nuclear weapons in addition to the weapons of mass destruction he already has, he is likely to use them or share them with terrorists. The threat of mass death on a scale never before seen residing in the hands of an unstable madman is intolerable -- and must be preempted. [...] I happen to believe that the preemption school is correct, that the risks of allowing Saddam Hussein to acquire his weapons will only grow with time.[14] ”
In April 2003 Krauthammer called the 2003 invasion of Iraq, which had recently begun, a revolution in world affairs:
“ Which [the surgical destruction of a totalitarian regime] is what makes the Three Week War a revolution in world affairs. It is one thing to depose tin-pot dictators. Anyone can do that. It is another thing to destroy a Stalinist demigod and his three-decade apparatus of repression -- and leave the country standing. From Damascus to Pyongyang, totalitarians everywhere are watching this war with shock and awe.[15] ”
In August 2003, he predicted:
“ With its oil, its urbanized middle class, its educated population, its essential modernity, Iraq has a future.... Once its political and industrial infrastructures are reestablished, Iraq's potential for rebound, indeed for explosive growth, is unlimited.[16]
Truthseeker @ 25:
"Look mein Fueher.... I'm walking!!!"
Gort@54 -
Yeah, but who do you think will win this year's Big Brother?
Dr. Matt @ 47:
I have two associates and a bachelor.
57 ysbaddaden Says:
I have two associates and a bachelor.
Of course I better check in my basement to see if they've excaped.
ysbaddaden @ 57:
That sounds somewhat kinky coming from you, ys.
According to Wikipedia , before he became a commentator, he trained in, and practiced, psychiatry, and was an expert in mania. That explains everything!
miss_kitty @ 59:
Or a double date
Targa @ 13:
Keep him. He's all yours.
The mess in Iraq is clearly our fault. I don't believe that we could have imposed Democracy in any case (that isn't quite how it works) but we are going about it in the worst possible way. Like I said, we are arming all sides of a civil war. We deliberately destroyed instutitions such as the army and police who are essential to maintaining order in any society, and for good measure we knocked out their power grid. An embedded reporter on NPR yesterday described how we clear out traffic jams -- driving armoured vehicles into the bus that was blocking the road while firing our weapons in the air.
We should not have occupied Iraq, but we certainly could have gone about it in a more sensible way. Our approach makes me wonder whether we ever really wanted stability in Iraq. Certainly our friends the Saudis don't want the competition from Iraq's oil fields.
Gort @ 54: Very good and interesting information. Thanks for supplying. As with almost all his predictions/statement as a member of the "Faux Noise All Stars", Charlie K. is sooooo full of it.
Hey Gort -- Kraut & Krystol have identical batting averages!
Doggiebobo @ 64:
Saudis are among the insurgents who are Sunnis who are causing the problems. There more Saudis in Iraq than there are Al Qaeda.
Where does Krauthammer come from anyway? The guy looks like something stuffed a tentacled alien into a human suit and tossed him out of the saucer onto a Manhattan street with orders to "Go fuck the humans up."...
Krauthammer & Novak are two of the scariest looking people on television. I cringe when I see them, and not just because of what they say. For a medium that loves the good looking, it seems to willingly/lovingly make an exception for these two fiends. It must be part of that pact with the devil.
ysbaddaden @ 58:
Are they wearing diapers?
Kerry @ 5:
Krauthammer is really "El Cid".
Ron @ 66:
Saudis are among the insurgents who are Sunnis who are causing the problems. There more Saudis in Iraq than there are Al Qaeda.
Interesting, do you think Chimp knows that?
http://mjhinton.net/slides/duhbya/bush-abdullah-8.jpg
this sonofa bitch allways looks like he just realised he shit his pants!
Dr. Matt @ 69:
If they were I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole...un stick...un fahgeddaboutit!
61 miss_kitty
Is there any such thing as a Dagwood sex-sandwich?
DB @ 16:
ttrrooll
Methinks Krauthammer has a Napoleonic complex.
He reveres the macho, and the strong, because he's denied it by his condition.
But then 'twas far far better to have a Napoleonic complex than a Napoleonic complexion.
Nice scroll-by line there: "LIBERAL ANGST IS HURTING AMERICA"
... lol ...
Out of curiousity -- has anyone ever seen one of the other major networks display (or say) something that specifically rips "conservatives" in a like fashion?
Gort @ 71:
Interesting, do you think Chimp knows that?
http://mjhinton.net/slides/duhbya/bush-abdullah-8.jpg
If he acknowledged it he wouldn't be able to keep saying Al Qaeda is the enemy. He would have to say the Suadis are. Wait, the 9/11 hijackers were mostly Saudis. Bush wouldn't want to confuse the issue would he?
Gort @ 71:
Interesting, do you think Chimp knows that?
http://mjhinton.net/slides/duhbya/bush-abdullah-8.jpg
Seriously doubt that Chimp knows because the facts of that have yet to be published in
a "pop-up book".
Martskers @ 60:
'Bout 5 years ago he was touted on Meet The Press as a shakesperean actor!
Let's see, washed up on a shore in Cypres nursed back to health,
Is a Shakesperean actor,
Who is also a psychiatrist (met the demands of uh, 7 years of medical school while rehabing?)
Became a Foghorn for the repugs in 2000...
All since 1985?
Maybe if we turn our heads sideways....?
Notice the Fox tagline: "Liberal angst is hurting America." Geez, talk about your delusions. Conservative angst is helping America? Instead of metaphysical complaints, let's talk reality. Damage to the rule of law or the Constitution? Envirnomental damage? Measure of social welfare and equality? Economic neglect? And of these and more, it is my angst that is hurting America? Please. My angst is about the only thing holding this country together.
Just imagine....seriously, think about the utter and COMPLETE outrage if CNN or MSNBC had a chyron that read "Right-winger's Angst Is Hurting America”. Librul MSM my arse.
Drshatterhand @ 46:
Funny, I've known about 5 psychiatrists in my day, and they were all nuts.
Fux News viewers don't know what "angst" is, LOL!
facta non verba@82, It's okay, this is meant to injure rational heads only.
A tactic used by injured dysfunctioned souls.
The ones that buy it will get it directly soon enough through hard experience which will come as a surprise. Such will be the recompense for their loyalty.
EconAtheist @ 78:
Just IMAGINE the outrage if MSNBC or CNN used a chyron like that against reich-wingers. This would be "worthy" of coverage for days and days and days as "proof" of "librul media bias"
FYI -remember samantha smith?
in the New Republic (Feb. 13, 1984) Charles Krauthammer conceded that 12 year old Samantha Smith wasn’t really a ‘communist dupe’ because her letter to her ‘pen pal’ Yuri Andropov was objective and didn’t lay all the blame on the US for the nuclear arms race.
Samantha Smith was an effective anti Reagan and PR nightmare for the GOP when it came to nukes and missile defence- she was a very articulate and effective spokesperson for peace who was practically impossible to atttack in public as her fame increased. Krauthammer did try, among others.
she was 'Wellstoned' in 1985 at age 13.
JudyLu@83, then you're going to love this: I was actually raped by a psychiatrist who was dating my roommate. He left bruises.
EconAtheist @ 78:
I would like to see "CONSERVATIVE SANGUINITY IS DESTROYING WORLD"
Rusty Shackleford @ 90:
CHEAP SANGRIA IS DESTROYING MY LIVER.
Just exactly where does this SOB live ?
tyree @ 73:
LOL! I was going to say it......
Rethugs. stupidity and uneducated ignorance, is what is really hurting our country.
I would have gone with "Betraying Petraeus".
A small point. These guys are always careful to paint a theoretical withdrawal from Iraq in the bleakest possible terms:"giving up in despair" "cutting and running" "precipitous withdrawal" etc.The idea of withdrawal being at all tactical or even "realistic" is completely off the table.Any movement away from war must be bad on the face of it.
So:war good/manly. Peace:bad/homosexual
Now, I DO feel for anyone, including Sauerkratsanguinahammer aka, god-knows-whut who has a devasting injury such as that. And he could sincerely be worried about crapping his pants, and suffer chronic pain the likes of which we don't know. His injury would also account for his odd expression.
Yet the old beelzebub still has lots of energy for venom.
Gotta hand it to the guy.
He looks like someone farted and it was most likely him trying to blame someone else
I see after reading up I am not the only one that occurred too
Why is this ape invited to comment on anything....he's still talking about the Berlin Wall.
Go back to Heritage........fool.
We're better than that, right? Separating the guy's disability from the fact his is indeed an asshole?
Krauthammer's a hale bopp level cultist. He needs some SSRI's
And let us NOT forgot this wank-fest of piece by ole Charles: How George W. Bush became the most important American president in a generation.
And it includes reich-wing wank material of herr dubyah.
One would think he would be humbled by his disability. Then again, there's what appears to be an incurable hale bopp cultist state of mind, and a spirit filled with venom...gee.
Where's Colbert with his Daddy Eagle puppet to regurgitate into his mouth?
this guy is ugly inside and outside. I almost vomited on my keyboard when I saw his face. he looks like a year old corpse.
jee wiz ..
i always thought that was a robot on fox
americahatesearth @ 104:
Ha! Krauthammer had a stroke in the womb and came out like that.
I've been having a funny feeling lately that neocon war boosters, almost exclusively wealthy and pampered people, have more of a financial than an ideological interest in hell on earth.
Gort @ 54:
Or growth in explosions. The guy sounds like an economic hit man.
My references too this mans "Jewish" roots as well as Liebermans "Jewish" roots might be deemed anti-zionist, but everyone can judge that for themselves, my view is your either a loyal american or if you hold loyalty too Israel over America, then my only comment is immigrate too where your loyalty is...! I do not care if your religious faith is Jewish, Catholic, Protestant, Methodist, Mormon, Moslem, Pagan, Atheist, etc, etc...., if your religious back ground causes you too feel loyalty too another nation, then your loyalty is not where you live..simple plain fact...! It is well known Israel would like USA too invade/attack Iran, which would not be beneficial too the USA interests, and would hopelessly embroil us further into this quagmire of middle east..., history has proven every world class power all thru out history who invaded the middle east, ended up fleeing in retreat and defeat..., if one does learn from historys lessons then we are doomed too repeat it..! It is pure insanity too anger, antagonize 1 billion moslems too appease and pander too 2 million Israeli's...! Not too mention USA population is 300 million, now world wide population is around 6 billion, we are already hated, dispised, feared world wide from this fiasco in Iraq, and this wheel chair bound, brain dead, propagandist for Israeli interests, and his co-conspirators in this neo con chicken hawk brigade, lead by nothing but chicken hawks who talk warmongering and let others do the dying and being wounded and crippled sickens me as a ex-marine vietnam era.., I do not care if I scare away any people of Jewish faith if they do not see the value of the country they reside in, my only comment is immigrate too the country the value...if it be Israel so be it..! I refuse too be silenced with accusations of anti-semitism merely because I call a duck a duck, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck its a duck...! Lieberman is a "republican in wolf" in "democratic sheeps clothing" too coin a old christian parable...! But his ultimate loyalty is Israel, he is ultimately doing the bidding of his foreign masters and loyal too them.., and I feel the same way of this man in the wheel chair..., no appologies here from me.
[Deleted-Sitemonitor]
I swear, he looks like an SS officer. America's ugliest Zionist?
He's a coward and conspirator...
RH@l09, It's about an allegience to money. An allegience to power.
It's not about how much Lieberman/Krauthammer have some Romantic Love for Israel, and surprising as it sounds, not about Fist Pounding Hatred for Iraqi's, middle-easterners, muhammedism, or any of the rest.
RH, if it's NOT about money&power, it's shuck & jive.
Well I suppose when it is all fucked up you can allways try to salvage an ounce of credibility by blaming the fucked up situation you have created on the outrage about the fucked up situation you have created.
He definitely looks like SS . . .
Krauthammer looks like Jeepers Kreepers back from the dead!
Ahhh... so, that's what it looks like when you take a mortar round straight in the kisser!
When Krauthammer speaks, it makes you feel dirty and
in need of a shower. Where in Hell do they find these
nauseating creatures? And always a mouthpiece for the
Reactionary Right Wing.
Dude looks like he's dead cooled down.
I believe he stole this technique from George Will: he spends a few words incorrectly portraying the opposing position as one that's ridiculous, then spending the rest of his words tearing down the position he defined!
First, Gen. David Petraeus cautions that this could take up to a decade. So he is (as I think most people believe) being honest, not "dishonest or delusional."
On the other hand, you....
