Sunday Talking Head Thread

Donna Hightower sings Stormy Weather...a little mellow jazz to start your Sunday.

The Sunday talking head line-up is ready for reading this morning. Lots of Presidential campaign discussion this morning, with interviews including Thompson, Edwards (twice), and Huckabee. And a lot of talking head discussion of the intricacies of a primary season that is still 46 days away from beginning.

What's catching your eye on the blogs an in the news this morning?

Never ending campaigns..

What is bugging me is LIEberman being floated for Vice-Resident. Where, who, what is driving that??? No doubt it is the Prince of Israel himself. This creature should be deported to his country of choice, Israel, really, don't you think?? Here's a horror, Ghoullani/LIEberman, gag, gag, vomit, gag, ...............

im watching re-runs of beavis and butthead and journey videos on youtube.

i may watch "meet the press" to see if any one talks about the planted question for hillary that was hardly mentioned in the CNN debates.
im kinda surprised that story died so quickly....i dont watch fox, maybe their still talking about it...................

Meet the Press is just a group of reporters speculating on the elections. There isn't enough coffee to keep me awake through this. Zzzzzz

FnS has been unremarkable this morning, but the heated exchange between Hume and Williams over what the Democrats are trying to do by not passing troop funding before their recess is worth seeing again.

Many people, not just Fox News viewers, don't fully understand the need for impeachment of Cheney and then Bush.

I am writing a series of three articles that put forward the reality of that need in terms of world opinion, the crimes of this administration, and ultimately the danger of allowing this kind of behavior to continue unchecked.

This is the first.

What a deluded, self-congratulatory paean Timmeh-boy gave himself on MTP. And this Talking-Air-Head actually attemped a self-psyche-analysis, but boy, did he miss the mark.

The amazing thing is, no s*it, this babbling boob thinks he is significant, meaningful, to the present and future of the U.S.

We are doomed, doomed, to drown in a sea of self-delusion, from the president to the head talking head, there is no reality.

Isn't that psychotic solipsism?

the smell of gasbag farts on a Sunday morning are more than I can bear.......

also gotta say thiss....I'm not a fan of Sen Clinton and prefer Edwards...but I gotta laugh at Giuliani and Romney saying Sen Clinton/any Dem can't run the country since they never ran a city, stae, corner store.....when I last looked we elected a CEO/MBA as Pres,.a CEO for Veep, CEO for DOD Secy....how did that work out??????

not having a tv sounds better and better

Higher Consciousness is the only game left.

Steph had to "educate" Thompson on Social Security.

Best tidbit:

GS: Alan Greenspan has said Social Security can pay benefits till 2035.

FT: Ihaven't heard him say that.

GS: He said that in September of this year.

Steph asks Phred, "Eight years out. You're at the end of your second term looking back. What do you hope would be your greatest achievement?"

FT: "That we haven't been attacked. That we aren't at war. That the economy is strong..."

So by Thompson's own definition of success, George W. Bush has been a total failure.

I watched John Edwards on both face the nation and late edition-he did a superb job and laid out exactly what he wants to do-both reporters tried to trip him up as much as possible and carry Hillary's water, but failed in that respect-they keep trying to make this personal, when it isn't-it just makes them look petty and foolish.

In Memoriam:

All but two under 30 (two 30 year olds).

When Thompson gets pinned down on something it's funny as hell. The whole interview this morning on the Steph show made it very clear that Thompson speaks first and maybe decides to think later. Maybe.

Well it's Sunday and I'm thinking even Fox NFL is preferable to the usual crap. Until they put up some hag showing the weather in the related cities. This woman looked absolutely disgusting. She looked like she just got dragged out of bed after a long night of pleasuring Terry Bradshaw, stuffed into a cab and shuttled onto the stage just in time to stumble through some half assed weather forcasts. From her dark roots to her tin foil dress and her hands "stuck" in her pockets, all she needed was a grocery cart filled with blankets and dog food.

Former Senator Edwards spoke truth to power once again this morning on Face the Nation. He made it clear that he had made mistakes ( a territory unknown to Hillary) and that he had learned from his 2002 war resolution vote. He brought up how HRC's yes vote for the Kyl Lieberman amendment is a very serious indication that Hillary has not learned that the Bush administration will use every measure to move their agenda for more aggressive measures to be used on Iran forward. Hillary's yes vote for the Kyl Lieberman admendment is a very clear indication of the influence that Aipac has with Hillary and that she did not learn any lessons from her yes vote on the 2002 war resolution.

On Face the Nation Edwards repeated that "intense diplomacy" with Iran and Syria and increased efforts to include all countries in the middle east is the way to move forward with negotiations with Iran.

I had no idea that John Edwards has not taken any "Pac" monies. Edwards shared that it is almost impossible to move forward in a campaign with out lobbyist money that he would like to witness lobby money taken out of the process. That corporations of course can continue to lobby but not buy a disproportionate amount of influence with their $$$$.

You know if Senator Clinton and Senator John Edwards lined up closely on all issues I would have to go with Hillary on the woman factor, but they do not. There are distinct and very serious differences on their stances on U.S. foreign policy. Edwards supports strong diplomatic means and Hillary has all ready given the Bush administration the ammunition they need to stir up more support for a first strike on Iran. Edwards learned from his 2002 war resolution vote and clearly Hillary has not. This difference is HUGE.

Spread the word about Edwards in the blogosphere. Link Edwards interview on Face the Nation. Go Edwards I am on your bus.

The link at Face the nation with Edwards is not up yet.

The Clinton crowd was disgusting at the debate

anyone notice how Edwards was pushed out to the far right side (just how are those seats selected)

anyone notice how Blitzer interrupted Edwards more than anyone else.
