'Irresponsible'
By John Amato Thursday May 01, 2008 9:30pmI'm sure by now you heard about the Mickey Kantor smear story from the movie "War Room." You can read it through the link. The point of a smear is to get it out there in the ozone no matter if it's right or wrong.
Anyway, I woke up to the story like most people and was given the video snippet that has since been pulled to check out by a good friend. My first thought was that since the War Room was released in 1993, why hadn't it been used against the Clintons by the right wing noise machine a long time ago? They would never have let something like this get by their antennas.
Rep. Dan Burton from Indiana (who has his own problems) surely would have been all over this back in the day. Remember, this is a man who likes watermelons:
Their leader is Watermelon Dan Burton, who of course got his nickname by inviting reporters to his back yard and shooting a watermelon to prove (how?) that Vince Foster did not commit suicide, a wacko theory he still believes, despite at least four investigative conclusions to the contrary.
I called a friend who has seen the film many times and he refuted the claim outright so I was getting ready to go down to the video store and rent the movie to watch it for myself. I then found another clip on Youtube to watch and it's still not clear what he was really referring to. And then Ben Smith posted this:
I just spoke to D.A. Pennebaker, the director of "The War Room," who said his film had been doctored to produce a widely-viewed YouTube clip.
Now the story has even been pulled off of Drudge and various other sites. My point is that I think there needs to be more responsibility taken by all parties right now on what's happening as the battle continues for the nomination---including the blogosphere--- because this story is so reminiscent of a typical right wing smear tactic. And I'm seeing more and more IP addresses on C&L coming from right wing corporations and organizations which makes me believe that there are a lot of phonies infiltrating our sites to stir it up, so to speak. I know we all have our picks for the presidency and emotions are running high with May 6th primary coming up, but maybe we could take a step back. I know I've had to. Jack Tapper says he didn't post about the "N" word clip, but blames his own culpability on the fact that he is traveling and eating a chicken sandwich.
Were I not currently eating a chicken sandwich at Liberty East Restaurant in Charlotte, NC, while working on a World News piece about the economy and the candidates, I would go to Blockbuster, rent a copy of The War Room and settle this matter as much as possible.
As it is, all I can do is post this to explain why I took down the original blog entry, and re-post it with all the added context above. Not good enough, but the best I can do from Liberty East Restaurant.
This is a reporter from ABC News with access to vast resources at his disposal and his reason for not being accurate is a chicken sandwich? And Buzz Bissinger thinks we're the ones full of sh^t? Media Matters:
If Tapper had put down his chicken sandwich and rented The War Room, he'd know that Mickey Kantor did not call Indiana voters "shit" [..] Media Matters for America did obtain a digital copy of The War Room and downloaded the relevant section. It is provided here and clearly indicates that Kantor is not saying, "Those people are shit"; he is, in fact, saying, "Those people are shitting," presumably referring to the Bush campaign's reaction to the poll numbers he was reading.
It's sad that smart liberals fall for this again and again. Someone feeds bad information to Drudge and all the mainstream media run with it like he's a reliable source, without doing the basic vetting it needs and then the blogosphere piles on, always assuming the worst.

I would hope that people realize just what the Republican machine is, and why it makes the search for the "electable" candidate a virtual wild goose chase. I've heard arguments about why Obama is or is not the most electable. I remember people saying that only Edwards, the southern white guy, lacked the baggage that would doom the other candidates. And lately, in the wake of Obama's re-posturing himself vis-a-vis Jeremiah Wright, I hear Clinton arguing that all her baggage has already been rummaged through, so there's nothing left to smear.
But here ya go. If they're lacking in material, they'll just make it up. They'll resurrect old scandals with new spins or just create something from whole cloth. There is nothing that is beneath them, and no one is immune to the smear machine. For the idea is, as John Amato says, simply to float an idea into the ozone. Once it's out there, there's no getting it back, and no convincing the people who buy it that it isn't so.
So, as we take our respective and collective steps back and deep breaths, I hope we can remember that either of our candidates can, and deserves to, beat John W. McSame. May we unite behind whomever we nominate, and fight hard together.
"Reality" has no place in the republican agenda.
Deal with it!
I've been having a lot of computer problems lately. Anyone else? After that comment I made about suicide bombers my computer kind of blew up. My monitor gave me that sudden white circle in the centre of the screen and then I had to let everything cool down for a couple of hours. Myself included, of course.
Ah, old equipment. And my computer ain't exactly new.

I had Ed Schultz on while I was driving and this was all he could talk about. One woman called in and tried to point out that this is the type of diversion from issues that Obama is trying to rise above. Ed pretty much dismissed her, and the next caller smeared her as a Hillary shill.
Ed (I used to be a Repug) Schultz's voice sounds an awful lot like Rush Limbaugh. When he comes on I immediately turn the dial even if he is falling all over himself about Obama.
It was a Obama supporter of course:
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/05/02/dirty_tricks_gone_vi...
I could not count all the blog diaries and comments written but they have played the race card and then blamed the Clintons many times.
Politics as usual.
Not a diffrent kind of politics.
Obama whole message is bs.
BNF pulled this clip from their site immediately when Errika learned it was a fake. My immediate response was that it could have been something that republican operatives have been working on to put out if/when Clinton wins the nomination. I believe I may be right about this. Has anyone determined its source yet?
I heard about this on The Ed Schultz show this morning - He owes Mickey Kantor an apology in my belief as he ran with the forged video for over 2 hours.
I decided to find the original, boost the audio and clean it up. Nothing bad here!
Well John you seem upset that this was all wrong about what was said back in 1992, why aren't you as upset about Peter Paul v Clintons trail. Just because it's one of the largest fraud case in American hiostory, really doesn't matter, I wonder why?
In the only diary on the subject at Daily Kos that hasn't been deleted,
the one blaming the whole episode on the Clinton campaign, there is
talk that the story appeared on Tapper, was picked up by a Kos diarist,
and the the flying monkeys sent the link to Drudge and anyone else the
could think of.
Clinton will probably make an ad with this showing Obama's new kind of politics.
I would.
Kantor is saying those people are shit and whatever esle he whispers ends with "igger"..I'm inclinded to believe he's saying exactly what he was accused of but the hilterly machine has managed to make everyone think they're wrong and crazy for even thinking so.
I heard the original video and the "Doctored" one. They both sound about the same, only the doctored one is slightly louder.
Sorry John, but I'm not buying Kantor's retraction NOR Media Matter's explanation.
He says both things, and it goes to the nature of the Clinton campaign in general.
If he hadn't said the second part, why would he whisper such a non-controversial line?

Sorry, Kantor wasn't talking about the Bushies. The context was crystal clear. That was nothing more than a slam on Hoosiers.
Look, I'm not blaming Hillary Clinton for this, but it sure looks convincing to me. I don't even care about the "N-word" controversy. I'll be glad to give Kantor the benefit on that. I'll even grant that he was venting after a tension-filled campaign and a little bile slipped out. But pretending it didn't happen? No. That's not acceptable behavior for a group of people that want to hold power in America. We have to do better than the Bushies.
You tried John but the kool aid is very strong.

Thanks for trying.
get over it it was 1993

"The point of a smear is to get it out there in the ozone no matter if it’s right or wrong."
Interesting that a self-described progressive blog, Americablog, was the main site trying to get traction on the bogus story all day. John Aravosis, a former Republican staffer for Ted Stevens of Alaska, was also the blogger who hyped the story that Hillary photo-shopped Obama's picture to make him appear more "negroid" in a racist negative ad.
I don't get how this works. All day long they call Hillary a liar, a deceiver, a bigot, a homophobe, and a despicable racist ... and yet they want her supporters to magically back Obama if he gets the nomination. These slime have become worse than the GOP. Read the site any time of day and it's "Billary" this and "Shillary" that. They've even perpetuated a new meme that if Obama loses the November election because of their hateful tactics, they will blame that too on Hillary.
getalife @ 10:
Just like you, your "link" is baseless BULLSHIT! Getalife, get a clue and understand that OBAMA IS WINNING and he doesn't need Rove/Hillary tactics to win, because he's going to win anyway. Obama is too smart a guy to risk everything by doing the kind of desperate shit that the trailers(Hillary) are doing. Why cheat when you are in first place? Next manufactured scandal please. LOL.
It's pretty basic, John. The rush limpballs effort to infiltrate the democratic/progressive movement include, but is not exclusive to, crossing the voting line to influence the Democratic voting. I'm sure many of the concern trolls here are infiltrators. Don't lose faith. We got your six.
getalife @ 10:
you ARE so amusing.
Eric Schmeltzer , the guy who apparently fed the smear to the Trail blog at the Washington Post
is a blogger for the Huffington Post and once worked as Howard Dean's press secretary.
Maybe Sam Stein at HuffPo can ask his colleague Mr. Schmeltzer what it knows
about the origins of the smear.
Pretty quick to expose a YouTube hachet job, except when it involves saudered-together snippets of Rev. Wright. It's still up, with no "investigation" into who put the P.O.S. together. On the bright side, it was only 6 weeks of our lives and 30 million hours of airtime.
getalife @ 10:
This is why the super delegates are leaving and can't wait to run the hell away from Hillary....lies and bullshit. Hillary, her message, her followers(getalife, Dennis, Marge, SM, Bluesage) all suck with hopeful negativity. Like Bush, she is a divider, just look at her work so far.
The republican slime machine is just getting warmed-up unfortunately. I have noted proliferation of message board flaming, over the past several months. I think they are keenly aware of the blogosphere's importance growing. They will try to find ways to disrupt it. They lack moral principals, so anything imaginable is 'on the table'.
The first time I heard the original clip I thought he said "those people are shit! We're going to the White House about now! (whisper) Those dumb fuckers..." before any subtitles were added. The "white n*gger" allegation went too far. Shame. Because he did call Hoosiers "shit." But once the guy claimed libel and threatened to sue YouTube, they took down the clip and killed the story.
Brilliance or pure dumb luck?

I heard both videos. The first one I thought he said 'shit' and 'white n*gger', but after watching the correct video, he CLEARLY said 'shitting'. Just look at his mouth, you can tell he's mouthing it. And I can't even make out the part he says to George. And IF he said 'white n*ggers', don't you think it would have been a big story back in 92'?? Common sense....

Thanks for saying the obvious.
Also, they're STILL talking about Wright.
Dan Abrams had a whole 'special report' show, which I immediately turned off when I heard it.

I love Big Ed Schultz but he ends up looking like a big fool touting this Mickey Kantor story. Ed went on the air and breathlessly hyped this video like it was the scoop of the century. Big Ed got duped, hoodwinked, fooled, flim-flammed, suckered and rooked. If Ed had taken a little time to verify the story by contacting the guy who actually filmed the documentary, he could have avoided looking stupid on national radio. The video was a hoax and Ed fell for the bait; hook line and sinker. Poor Ed. Randi Rhodes will never let him live this one down.
I have the DVD and I can tell for sure he says "sh--ing' or possibly 'sh--y' but I must say the second part sounds pretty clear like he says the N word. If he did, I'm not sure of the context, but it really does sound like the N word though. That word is pretty clear and all Media Matters writes on the video is [whispering].
It's just shy of 1:24 min into the DVD.
After many attempts to listen to it I must say I pretty much agree with this diary at DKos here:
Washington Post 1993: "Mickey Kantor Comment About the People of Indiana"
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/2/154559/1273/617/507893
Which links to this review in the Washington Post written in 93.
Here's something else to keep an eye on, something I noticed on MSNBC - I don't know about the other networks, but I see no reason to doubt it's the same.
On Race To The White House tonight (clips online at msnbc.com) they again offered their panel emailed questions from viewers. They were all framed in Republican talking points with just enough salacious material to interest a producer wanting "zazz." This is happening with more frequency on the Radio, too. Can count on a couple of Freepers per hour calling Stephanie Miller.
On a side note, Chris Matthews offered more bizarre commentary than usual, even to the point you can hear him say "Oh, I shouldn't have said that" off camera after a peculiar description of working class people. He also failed to realize that getting into The Telegraph's #2 spot of political commentators was NOT A COMPLIMENT. With Rove #1, Hannity #3 and Rush #4, what the jell does he think that says about him? He was damn near beaming.
I think it simply reflects the seething frustration Obama supporters have felt at the incredibly anti-Obama coverage in the media for the last two months, and what seems like an outright attempt to damage him for Clinton/McCain's benefit. It's been so bad in some ways, it's easy to think the last two months should almost be charged as an in-kind contribution to the Clinton campaign.
We see this, and we see stories about connected Clinton supporters (and indeed, the campaign) sending out right wing smears against Obama to willing and eager media people, and we see Clinton herself helping to move the smears (or at best, not doing anything to shoot them down), and we want some payback. We want the media to be forced to even its coverage out and rake Clinton over the coals 24/7 for a month or so. And so we latch on to a dubious, explosive story like this in an attempt to make that happen.
In a more calm moment, it leaves me extremely sad that so many basically good, valuable Democrats have been tossed to the wolves because of the bitterness of this primary. It doesn't make it more palatable that some of those dems have made their beds and helped to enhance that bitterness (yeah, Stephanopoulos, I'm looking at you).
This primary was over more than a month back, when it became basically, mathematically impossible for Clinton to catch up. It is a true shame that Democrats in general are being punked by a media that cares nothing for the fate of the country, but only wants to look out for their own ratings and corporate interest, and is doing all it can to keep up the illusion of an ongoing primary battle to further those goals.
getalife @ 10:
Thank you, Getalife, for providing "exhibit A" of a wingnut troll out to stir shit up.
Of course, you could prove me wrong: after Obama seals the nomination, all you have to do is stick around, posting under the same username here, TPM and everywhere else you currently spread your toxic filth, and back the Democratic nominee to the hilt.
Will you have that kind of courage, Getalife? Are you a progressive, and do you care about progressive ideals and the Democratic Party? Time will tell.
There's something wrong with me.
I loathe Hillary, but I saw that clip and went, "Bullshit!" I knew it was either doctored or taken out of context or something... flat out wrong... and then just clicked on ahead without another thought. It doesn't occur to me too much of the time that I ought to stop and call bullshit on stuff people may not realize is bullshit. Not that I'm infallible, but plenty of times I just know, and don't stop to think it could be helpful to speak up....
I have absolutely no idea what this story is about... blissfully ignorant, and planning to stay that way!
This is bullshit.
I went out, got a copy of the film this afternoon and whacked the volume up.
I heard the EXACT same thing I heard in the YouTube clip this morning.
Did I doctor it just by turning the sound up.
Or has everybody gone cuckoo?
I don't know where this BS started but it's good to see C&L living up to it's goal of critiquing the media.
sandy @ 16:
You ARE wrong. He does appear to say "those people are shit", but it is in no way clear to whom he is referring. However the other statement he makes that is partly unintelligible seems closer to "How would you like to be [somebody's name] at this moment". Contextually that makes more sense since he is probably referring to a GHWBush campaign biggie who would be in deep "shit" because his incumbent candidate is losing.
there is absolutely no word or partial word that sounds like "igger" -- however, having some experience with audio editing, if you already have an idea of what you think you are going to hear set in your mind... you can hear the words you want in something completely unclear or something completely different.
Why do Obama partisans persist on lying after this smear has already been exposed.
At this point, it is almost pathological.
"This is a reporter from ABC News with access to vast resources at his disposal and his reason for not being accurate is a chicken sandwich?"
============================
Sounds about right to me. The formula goes like this:
Outrageous story-->more viewers-->increased ad revenue-->bigger paycheck = EVERYONE DELIGHTED. Why mess up a good thing with investigation?
"And I’m seeing more and more IP addresses on C&L coming from right wing corporations and organizations which makes me believe that there are a lot of phonies infiltrating our sites to stir it up, so to speak."
====================================
Bring 'em, on. ;)
Agent X says it all: he is not buying it. A 1992 video clip tells him everything he wants to know about the Clintons. Facts? Hey, don't let such an inconsequential thing get in the way. As for Jake Tapper: John you have to understand he had to first finish his chicken lunch so that he can produce chickenshit journalism. And we have the concern trolls. Our Rush Limbaugh - Ed - is also doing a very good imitation of the SOP of the RW blogs. Is he a Democrat? or a DINO?
Jake Tapper throws red meat to his readers every single day. He generates a lot of hits and he loves it. He is probably the most consistently irresponsible blogger on any of the major MSM blogs that allow comments. And comments he gets.
Tapper has no compunction whatsoever about whether the material he posts is truthful or not. And his readers oblige him, they glom onto that shit like chum in the water. Jake loves it. His bosses probably love it to, because it generates a lot of hits. ABC is becoming even more irresponsible than Fox News.
I guess it's profitable for them, so don't expect him to suddenly get contrite over this little dustup. He's thrown out a lot worse.
The first clue was that the YouTube account was four hours old when I saw it.
Look, the blame for this goes to the blogs that used to be "progressive". Americablog and dKos and others (not here, btw) that have jumped shark and decided to be Malkin and/or Drudge in support of their personal choice for Pres. If the perps hadn't been actually caught in the fakery, Aravosis and Markos would still be flogging it, knowing full well that it was bullshit.
Those two, and a good chunk of others that used to be liberal have caved and become sad and untrustworthy. If I hear any comment from Markos or Aravosis about how bad McCain or anyone else is, I can only assume it's bullshit.
Too bad, cause the claims would probably be correct.
But why would I, as a member of the reality-based community, trust anything that comes out of their mouths any more?
Yeah, it's SOMEBODY else's fault that because the obamazoids "fairytale" crap about the Clintons being racist was given a pass by the "LIBERAL" blogshere THIS crap was picked up and run with by the vast majority of them. Hell, even NOW you still can go to ANY lib site, EVEN HERE and you'll find obamazoids carrying on like it's a given the clip is right. Gee, wonder how THAT happened? Maybe cause y'all been in the tank for Obama for so long you'll just go with ANY crap huh? Now, the Rev Wright, ain't NO doubt bout what HE says is there? And he didn't say anything different in his last couple of appearances then he did for 20 years with Obama sitting in the pews. And just NOW he is shocked, SHOCKED at what the Rev says? BWAHAHAHA! Gonna blame THAT on the wingers too?
I think that all of us who post our comments on these sites need to take some of the blame for this kind of shit. Most of us call ourselves progressives and left, but we sometimes act like the rightwing smear machine. Just take the Rev Wright issue over his "goddamn america" statement. I have seen posters who will say goddamn america when it comes to the Irag war and then turn around on another thread and bash Wright and blame Obama for using the same term. We will attack Hillary for things that someone said or did during her husbands term that has nothing to do with what we are going threw now. We all have strong opinions when it comes to who we support, but in the last few months we seem to have forgotten how to be civil. We are doing the rightwings job for them by tearing down both canidates, just to make a point. The rightwing is smart, all they have to do is throw out alittle piece of meat, and we will run with it and do more damage then they could ever do on their own.
Poster@51 just made my point.
Getalife, you post the same BS on every site, try something new 1
THANK YOU! The rhetoric needs to be toned down. Americablog and DailyKos are being extremely rebublican-esque in their rhetoric. It's ridiculous. Give the voters some credit here. We will survive this nomination process and we will turn out for whomever the nominee is. My fear is that somehow Clinton will get the nomination (I doubt she will and I'm not a supporter) and all of this rhetoric will be the thing that really ruins our ability to beat McCain in the Fall.
Everyone chill the fuck out. We will survive this

All names I've never seen before. Also a sudden shift from the "usual style" at this site. Hmmm... makes me wonder. We know who we are, and what we say. Sometimes we who comment blow off steam. We're not making news, we're the peanut gallery; the unruly mob. Don't quote us. Anyone offended by us ought to stay off the internet.
bitter Edwin Hussein @ 56:
I have been on C&L for over a year, and I"m not offended by what most people say, but if you think the rightwing does not listen to what as you call the peanut gallery say's you are sadly mistaken.
John Aravosis of Americablog and Politico are two sites still insisting that the Youtube clip wasn't doctored. They are trying to get the weekend news shows to cover this shocker of a story. I think part of their motivation is they want to get back at Hillary's campaign for her allegedly coaching Rev. Wright and paying him to appear at the National Press Club. This is after Aravosis broke another Youtube story in which he claimed that Hillary doctored an Obama photo to make his skin darker and nose wider. Folks, this is getting pretty questionable ethics-wise. Do Obama's supporters really need to get so hateful and desperate?
diamondmc @ 52:
Best comment on this topic thus far. Thanks
Not only have Americablog and Kos become Red State blogs butthey mirror republican attacks on Hillary. I can vote for and will vote for the eventual nominee but the bile at those two sites have poisoned Obama backers. They Jumped the Shark for sure when Wrights terrible appearance that could not be blamed on editing was BLAMED ON HILLARY!!!!! Somehow Hillary got Wright to say outragous things.
After all they blame Hillary for controlling, I ould ant her to in because she can pull off amazing stuff like mind control.
I've watched War Room many times and I NEVER cam away with anything resembling the "s--t" or "n----r" comments.
99 @ 39:
I absolutely despise Obama, but I heard the Youtube clip with my own ears. Hillary's staff says the "n-word" quite clearly. I think this really exposes the racist bigots she and Bill seem to attract. The African-American community is enraged at such a blatant use of the n-word to denigrate American citizens. If Obama is not given his rightful nomination, I'm afraid a huge number of Black voters will just sit out the election.
sanfranguns @ 55:
I love how Obamaniacs always phrase it this way. It would be like a Hillary supporter saying "I'm not worried at all that Democratic voters will eventually heal their differences and rally around the nominee. I just fear that somehow Barack Obama will steal the superdelegates or in some other way game the system. Only in a case like that where he somehow takes the nomination away from Hillary would I withold my support from such a corrupt person."
When we progressives use quotes out of the movie war room to take down another democrat or Rev Wright, how are we any better then the rightwing nutjobs? Some will use Rev Wright to take down Obama, but do you really think the rightwing won't use him against Hillary if she wins? The Clintons have also supported Wright when Bill was in office and the right will use that against her to. They will question her judgement just like some question Obamas. Poster@56 say's what we say doesn't matter, but I disagree. It was Billo who quoted the posters not the blogger to make his point about how vile the left are. As we get closer to the end of this, we had better think before we post as to what damage we are doing to our canidates. McCrazy and the repugs are the enemy, not Hillary or Obama.
Megan @ 62:
Obamaniacs? Don't you mean Obama supporters? Tell me what differance is there between a Obama supporter and a Hillary supporter? The last time I looked they were both democrats. Isn't this what the rightwing does? Put a label on the left to make them look like nuts and then say we are out of touch with the real america. I just don't see how smearing Obama or Hillary supporters gain us anything but defeat in Nov.
seriously, how could anyone "absolutely despise Obama"???
i'm still trying to figure out the hillary rove cLIEberman backers...
curious...
I am so sick of people unfairly treating both Hillary and Barack. Senator Obama is a superb judge of character and had every right to choose Rev. Jeremiah Wright as his Pastor. Who are we to judge what was going through Obama's mind or the struggles he had as an African-American? He had every right to request that Rev. Wright baptize his daughters and instruct his wife in spiritual guidance just as he has the right to now call Rev. Wright hateful and divisive.
If the GOP chooses to use such tactics in the general election, who is to blame? As Obama supporters have correctly characterized Hillary as an evil, deceitful, corrupt racist ... do we really want such horrible people to then join Barack's campaign after he becomes the nominee? Every Obama supporter I have spoken with says they would NEVER vote for the witch Hillary and are more than willing to give the Presidency to McCain if "the bitch" steals the nomination.
Alan @ 47:
I heard the original from the War Room clip on Youtube. He said it, and there are links from news reports that other people have posted ON THIS THREAD which back up the "those people are shit" line.
But hey, since we're ON THE TOPIC OF FACTS, let's go to some inconvenient truths about the KKKlintons, shall we?
Clinton in 1995 talking about Southerners: "Screw 'em!"
Clinton lying about NAFTA and Bosnia.
Clinton denouncing Wright while forgetting he was there as a spiritual adviser for HER husband!
Sidney Bluementhal spreading smears about Obama.
The 3am ad and racism.
Removing the gas tax is pandering and would cost us more at the pump
And all this is just from THIS YEAR! What, you can't handle the facts?? Too bad. Time for you and the other Clintonistas to suck it down!
If after all these facts, the Clintonistas still support her, then they might as well be Republican, because there are only 3 types of Republicans:
Millionaires
Suckers
Racists, Homophobes, etc
Look in the mirror, Clintonistas, and see if this is what you want to send to the outside world.
Let me get this straight. It is ok for Mickey Kantor to take out of context snippets to smear the Obama campaign, but God forbid someone do that to him - It's a major crime. This brings to mind a few thoughts like:
You reap what you sow.
Turn about is fair play.
Tit for tat.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
If you sleep with snakes, don't be surprised when you get bitten.

I've been reading for 4 years and commenting for 1. I guess cause you haven't read any of mine I don't exist though. My wife's gonna be surprised by that.
The Obama dirty tricks are really starting to pile up.
Saying that Hillary belongs to a "shadowy Nazi Church", when in fact Obama goes to the same prayer meetings.
Saying that Hillary had something to do with Obama's passport breach, when in fact the CEO of the company involved is an ardent Obama supporter.
Saying that Hillary is trying to disenfranchise North Carolina voters, when in fact WVWV has at least two senior members that are ardent Obama supporters. Throw in the fact that "sample" ballots that already have Obama selected on them are appearing all over North Carolina.
Blaming Hillary's campaign for that photo of Obama in African garb, when in fact the photo was taken by reporters that Obama himself asked to go with him to Africa, and which was given to Drudge by a right wing blogger.
Doctoring video clips and inserting insults to the citizens of the state in which the next primary is occurring.
Having AA leaders level charges of racism against the Clintons every single time a primary involving a state with a high concentration of AAs is about to occur.
Busing in out of state thugs to highjack through intimidation caucus precincts. Look at Texas as one glaring example of how that works. Hillary won a significant victory in the primary, only to have the election stolen by Obama's thugs.
Obama has run a really nasty, vile campaign. If this is the "new kinda politics", then this country will best be served without Obama in any level of government. Take a good look at how this man has gotten where he is. He stabbed Alice Palmer in the back; got his other opponents thrown off the ballet; mysteriously ridiculous stories about two of his other opponents surface right before the election; and now he deliberately through his surrogates had the votes of Michigan and Florida disenfranchised because he'd lose if they counted. Obama is not the person he projects for the cameras. He's a very sneaky, underhanded, overly ambitious stepper who will walk all over anyone who gets in his way. He's on a very bad power trip.

Then use Google, because every damned thing I said in my comment is backed up by stories that are readily available and written by real journalists at credible newspapers.
[Ouch! My ears! No need to shout it. Thank you. Site Monitor]

Like Clinton, Obama Attended "Shadowy" Group's Prayer Meetings

Justin Rood Reports:
Stories on the "stealth" ministry of Douglas Coe have been cropping up recently on blogs and online publications, linking him unfavorably to Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.
Comparing Coe to Obama's inflammatory pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barbara Ehrenreich wrote at HuffingtonPost.com, "When it comes to unsavory religious affiliations, she's a lot more vulnerable than Obama."
But the story may not be so simple. Indeed, as Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign confirmed yesterday, he has also attended Coe's prayer meetings.
