Me, The Real McCain And The AFL-CIO

Hi folks, sorry to be a bother, but just wanted to invite you intrepid C&Lers who live in the DC area to join me Friday night at a book event for The Real McCain at the AFL-CIO. Below are all the details, and I look forward to meeting you!

Join author/blogger Cliff Schecter in a book discussion about

THE REAL McCAIN: Why Conservatives Don’t Trust Him and Why Independents Shouldn’t

Sen. John McCain opposed making President George W. Bush’s tax cuts for the wealthy permanent.
Now he supports this boondoggle for the rich.

McCain, a POW, stood against torture.
This year, he voted to allow water boarding.

McCain once was a campaign finance reformer.
Now, he’s a candidate whose campaign is run by lobbyists.

Please join Cliff, Jane Hamsher and others on Friday, May 30, 2008 from 6–8 p.m. at AFL-CIO Building, 815 16th St., N.W., Washington, D.C.

Please R.S.V.P. by calling John Goltz at 202-508-6938.

Cliff!!

McCain... old senile ba$tard who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Another frickin' loser who'll say anything to be the most popular bully on the playground.

When will you be in NYC?

Damn it. How come no one ever seems to come to Florida for these types of things?

If I were in the area, I'd ask you to save me a seat. However since I'm down here in Fla. it's not gonna work for me. Have a great time!

McCain, the return of bush but perhaps not as smart as bush.

I know and if they do they hit Tampa, Miami or Orlando. What about the rest of us?

My stomach churns every time I see the photo of that old bastard with his arms flung around the Fuhrer.

A guy hugging a guy is fine. But that photo of McCain continuing to hug bush with his eyes closed as though he is experiencing some sort of bliss, while bush waves to the crowd, is just a serious kind of repulsive.

i have the (mis)fortune of living in DC. maybe i'll come out.

pissed off patricia @ 8:

It looks to me like McCain is suckling.

They'd come to Florida if it was February. . . I say plaster that hug photo on a million mailers in every state--no caption needed.

Cliff, you almost make McSame sound like a flip-flopper. And we all know only Democrats can be. sheesh

That's exactly what it reminded me of but I hesitated to say it. Bush looks like a mother waving while holding her very large child to her...............well, you get the picture. I am grossing myself out as I type this.

John McCain what did you learn from the Vietnam War , a war based on a proven LIE . What did you learn from the horrors of WAR . Did it repulse you so much that it made you do everything possible to prevent another war from happening . Did torture , repulse you so much that it and made you decide ,that you would do EVERYTHING you could ,to stop TORTURE , as any HUMAN would react .

NO McCAIN , you pathetically have done just the OPPOSITE .
