The war between Russia and Georgia's getting worse. Evidently the cease fire's been broken...and we're shipping the Georgians back from Iraq to fight for their country against Russia.

Fuck.

Bush's Administration really doesn't need to do that...

I got this from Portrait of an Idiot, But don't know who to credit. It leaves a lot of the harmful stuff off, but it's still get a lot out there.

The Good George W Bush Has Done

I rarely say anything good about George W Bush, but he has actually done some good things for his country. Possibly the best thing he's done for our country is that for the last 5 years or so, his total disdain for Government has shown one and all that Republicans and especially Neo Cons can't govern worth a damn. God only knows just how far he's set his party back. Thanks Dubya, we needed that.

After running as a compassionate conservative, George W Bush has shown the world exactly what that means... NOTHING! Katrina, no child left behind etc., etc. has shown without a shadow of a doubt that there is no such thing as a compassionate conservative.

After claiming he would be an adult, and would oversee a humble foreign policy, the CEO President has invaded 2 countries and indulged in nation building like we've never seen before. Then when he's criticized for his blind ambition, he pouts like a spoiled child. Once again Dubya, you've shown the world what a true neo con truly is.... spoiled, selfish, war mongering and hell bent on foisting his/her beliefs not only on the American people, but all the people of the world! Thanks again for clearing this up for us George.

No one has ever said George W Bush isn't stubborn, or rigid. And because he kept staying the course against overwhelming odds that said he was entirely wrong with almost every decision this self proclaimed decision maker cast his own party in the role as the inevitable LOSERS in the 2006 elections. Also, because of his popularity and approval ratings we've just seen something that we haven't seen in years if ever at the third Republican Presidential debate. All ten (10) candidates ran from this man named George W Bush. Yet most of them (certainly the Senators and Congressman and of course Tommy Thompson) for all of the previous five years enabled the jerk of a Commander in Chief. They certainly exercised NO oversight, or voted against Bush. Apparently these arrogant whackos think that American Citizens are going to forget or ignore that they enabled the Imperial Liar all this time? Yes, Mr. Bush has almost single handedly dismantled the Republican party. Thanks George, we could have never done it without you.

And lastly, the village idiot from Crawford has given late night comics more material and made millions laugh out loud more times than I can count. And if his party ever gets its' desire, he to will one day be forced to learn English!

Dark matter, anti-matter or a singularity. Not much difference. One disrupts matter, one destroys matter, and the latter sucks your atoms into gravitational infinity.

Cute video.

All I could think of while watching this...is how GREAT it is going to be to have a President we can once again take pride in. This guy is a class act intellectually, character wise, and we are all HOPING...honestly-wise.

It also reminded me a little of the ronnie reagan days...I mean...wasn't he a "celebrity"? Is being a bit of a celebrity...or having the talent to be, such a "bad thing"? I think not. Although with ronnie, we paid dearly...which had nothing to do with his celebrity status, if you don't consider he was no more than a stuffed suit with the corporate hand up his ass working his mouth and eyeballs.

GO Barack!!

P.S. Hussein is NOT a bad word either...to the repuke idiots out there. I think george is more of a bad word. Bet there will be more children named after Barack Hussein Obama then there will be named after the half wit, spoiled brat george wilbur.

It is Rick Astley and he's the subject of an internet gag known as Rick-rolling.

Or (more to the point) how can I get those conveniences when they don't appear the first time I load the comments page for a post? (Sometimes they re-appear when I refresh the page or leave & return).

I'm not sure. I always see those options when I comment.

You should be able to still use the html codes, even if the buttons aren't there.

It's because you're probably using an IE or IE-based browser (like the Yahoo browser). Am I right? If not, and you're using Firefox, the problem will be fixed shortly. Firefox works fast.

This happens to me (I use the Yahoo browser) every time there's an embedded video from YouTube. It's not C&L's problem, it's IE's problem- and the folks at Microsoft don't patch IE as quickly as they should. I'd suggest that you learn how to manually enter html code. Short of that, grin and bear it. :D

The war between Russia and Georgia's getting worse. Evidently the cease fire's been broken...and we're shipping the Georgians back from Iraq to fight for their country against Russia.

Fuck.

Bush's Administration really doesn't need to do that...

MSM is doing it'sbest (and starting to succeed) in totally distracting Americans from the fact we can't do jack squat about it also.

Just ship Georgia troops out of Iraq, pat them on the butt and wish them good luck, and drop the bill on future taxpayers.

I just finished skipping thru this morning's Meet the Press.

So David Gregory is Brokaw's "stand-in-boy" while Brokaw is in China. Gregory's ONLY STORY LINEs whenever he appears are... "During the next segment we're going talk about 'What's wrong with Barack Obama's campaign." "Is he falling behind in the battleground states?" "Will this headline have serious repercussions against the Democrats?" "Are voters SURE they want to vote for THIS GUY?" "Obama's DIFFERENT... will he turn voters off in November?" "We've found an obscure tracking poll that shows Obama LOWER than yesterday's other obscure tracking poll... and we'll look at all the reasons why this MIGHT turn into a major story... right after these THREE NEW McCain ads that we just received from their glorius new campaign manager." "After the break, we'll have our panel lay out all the reasons why YOU should vote for McCain... right after these three new McCain TV ads."

It's so OBVIOUS that he loaded today's discussion with pro-McCain talkers... then showed parts of THREE McCain spots for NO REAL POINT OR JUSTIFICATION. He's so transparant!

Agreed. I watched last Sun for first time in at least a month and thought it was weak. I really thought today's show would be one-upped by NBC's nonstop coverage of bush's Beijing junket, but I was wrong. Sort of...

Had trouble with the clip playing on my computer--choppy, no sound. But that may have been a good thing...The schmuck looks way too f'ing cocksure of himself with that more or less captive audience he's had since getting there. At the church, looks like he just did a big line of blow and a couple shots of Jack.

Please, someone in Beijing hold him for ransom for a quicker repayment of our debt. We'll pay, really...

I would like the ask the following: Why are you even talking about CERN and Dark Matter in the first place? This thread is about the situation in Georgia.

Since I'm here, I may as well also explain why you're not only off the subject, you also have no idea what you're saying.

What is Dark matter? Most likely, the following:

* Normal matter which has so far eluded our gaze, such as:
o dark galaxies
o brown dwarfs
o planetary material (rock, dust, etc.)
* Massive Standard Model neutrinos. If any of the neutrinos are massive, then this could be the missing mass. On the other hand, if they are too heavy, as the purported 17 keV neutrino would have been, massive neutrinos create almost as many problems as they solve in this regard.
* Or possibly Exotic Particles we are currently unaware of.

Dark Matter is matter we cannot detect under normal means, but still has a gravitational effect on our universe.

Dark Matter is NOT anti-matter (at least not in our galaxy), nor does it suck matter into infinity. Please don't say things when you obviously don't know what the hell you're talking about.

None of the things you've mentioned are anything alike. You're just throwing out words you don't even understand.

Try researching the things you want to talk about before you write them down for all of us to see.

Another Republican hypocrite and friend of Foley (literally see the photo in the video)
and hes actively protecting three local white kids who burned down 9 churches,
the first five were black churches, the subsequent four were white ones to cover their tracks.

Dale Jackson asked the questions, including one about the 2006 homecoming king of Troy University, King's alma mater. (You can't make this stuff up.) More specifically, Jackson, an Alabama radio talk show host, asked King about the meteoric rise in the career of John Godwin, who started working for King as an intern in 2007, when he was a 23-year-old senior majoring in broadcast journalism.

"Soon, he was on the payroll at $10 an hour, and he quickly advanced from there. As early as July 2007, Godwin was named a special administrative assistant earning more than $39,000 a year. Within nine months of arriving as an intern, Godwin was King's executive assistant, drawing more than $57,000 a year - close to what entry-level lawyers earn in the office." The Birmingham News, July 29, 2008

$10 ph to $57,000 pa in less than a year, impressive for such a good looking boy fresh from college.

General....Didn't get to the bottom.

I get your point. Not only that, but in a singularity (I believe) that you would be pulled apart atom by atom over the course of what would seem thousands of years (as time would appear to slow down by a vast amount).

Yep.

Which is why I'd prefer death by dark matter.

If I had to choose.

local time is whatever, remote viewing time would seem to stretch, but as the photons vaporized (finite source used up) then the event finishes.
also theres a 15 ratio limit on time dilation if I recall correctly.
