This is a funny video but it's also so not funny. Mitch McConnell is easy to ridicule and yet he wields his power on behalf of the Kochs and other Republican billionaires. He's been a key player in the erosion of campaign finance laws. He is as corrupt as they come.

I love this video because it's funny, but it also lands the punch right where it belongs.

Blue Nation Review:

Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate Minority Leader, is shown being a “tool” for the Kochs and their self-serving agenda for 30 years and counting, promoting Big Oil, undermining financial reform and regulations, and fighting against a living wage for Americans.

The tool, or Mitch McConnell, was caught on tape at a secret billionaire summit held by the Koch’s this summer, saying that with him and his minions in power they were, “going to go after them on healthcare, on financial services, on the Environmental Protection Agency, across the board [in Congress.]” He also promised “We’re not going to be debating all these gosh darn proposals. That’s all we do in the Senate is vote on things like raising the minimum wage…”

Pardon us for expecting you to do the job you were elected for.

McConnell often talks out of both sides of his mouth, as he did when he stood on the Senate floor and claimed that Republicans were fighting against stagnant wages, and then turned around two days later and announced a plan to lower the wages of construction workersin order to fund the building of a new bridge in Kentucky. So much for looking out for the people that put in a hard days work.

There's also this: For this cycle, McConnell has set aside any reservations about coordination between his campaign, his billionaires, and the Republican PR machine. I suppose he's decided to take his chances with yet another campaign finance case in the US Supreme Court. And why not? He knows Roberts will hand it to him.

My desired outcome on November 4th is to see Democrats hold the Senate, and McConnell defeated. It can happen.
