Protesters gathered outside of the Hyatt Regency in Burlingame to send a message to Donald Trump and California Republican leaders.
April 29, 2016

Protesters swarmed the Hyatt Regency in Burlingame where the California Republican Convention is being held, in advance of Donald Trump's speech today.

They broke down barriers to hold them back and flowed through onto the hotel grounds in an attempt to block all of the entrances before Trump could enter the hotel. However, Secret Service agents took Trump through a back entrance after entering through a parking lot area.

Protesters took to the streets to let Trump know his messages of Islamophobia, nativism and hate aren't welcome here in California. The longer Trump stays in the state, the more protesters will appear at his events, without question.

Scenes like this should give Mark Halperin some cause to reconsider his idiotic claim that Donald Trump has a snowball's chance in hell of competing in California. He will lose in a landslide.
