It's a full moon plus summer solstice plus the strawberries are ripe.

It's a Strawberry Moon tonight, the first in 70 years. Strawberry moon is a full moon during the summer solstice, named for the time when strawberries are ripe for picking.

The website Slooh is hosting a strawberry moon live stream from the observatory in the Canary Islands later tonight.
