Some people say Marco Rubio isn't all that bright. This is just another example why they keep saying that.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio decided to run for reelection after bowing out of the presidential race and receiving encouragement from fellow Republicans.

But Rubio has declined to rule out future prospects, such as a 2020 presidential bid, by not committing to serving a full six-year term in the U.S. Senate should he retain his seat in November.

In an interview Tuesday, CNN’s Manu Raju asked Rubio if he would commit to serving the entirety of his term, to which the Florida Republican said:

“No one can make that commitment because you don’t know what the future’s gonna hold in your life — personally or politically.”

Democrat Patrick Murphy, expected to easily prevail today over Alan Grayson in the Democratic primary, gave this excellent burn on Rubio's unforced error.
