Former President Donald Trump spoke to reporters on Saturday before his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and said he would remain in the 2024 presidential race even if he is indicted. Trump is inundated with state and federal investigations.

"Oh, absolutely, I won't even think about leaving," Trump told reporters when asked if he would drop out of the race if indicted. The former President added that "probably it'll enhance my numbers, but it's a very bad thing for America. It's very bad for the country."

During his speech, Trump pitched himself to the conservatives watching the event.

"In 2016, I declared I am your voice. Today I add: I am your warrior," he said. "I am your justice, and for those who have been wronged and betrayed, I am your retribution."

And he said that to a half-filled room. Trump still has support from his lint-licking fire-breathing base, but he doesn't have the iron-clad grip he used to have on his party. It wouldn't be a good look for the GOP to nominate an indicted one-term President. CPAC was underwhelming, with row after row of empty seats seen in video clips when Don Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, and the former President spoke. MAGA is in its death throes.
