I am going to have fully investigate later on tonight, but I hear the unmistakable crying of kittens coming from our storage shed. And I know for a fact that they aren't Gomez and Lily (the son and daughter of Callie, the kitty formerly known to you all as The Little Girl (tm), she's a full-fledged member of the family now and it turns out that when she pillfered from Jeremy's food when she first came to us, she was eating for three).
And there's a big orange tomcat that has been pillfering from Callie's food too.
I feel terrible for these extra cats, but there's nothing I can do for them but call Animal Control. We have a full house with Joey, Mimis, Andy, Jeremy, Callie, Gomez, and Lily already...
It's the most humane way to deal with feral kitties. If they are simply removed, others take over the territory. If they're spayed.neutered and released, they stay in control of their area, but without propogating. The females will be healthier, too, not always being pregnant or lactating.
traps and neuters/spays the feral cats on our campus (and in some cases socializes them and finds them homes). Maybe I can get them to help.
And Callie has a spaying on the agenda for sure.
Aww shucks. Last time I went on a similar 'investigation' we ended up with Fuzzy Spice (named in honor of Sarah "Bible Spice" Palin, h/t TBogg), seen here in her pre 'psycho borderline' kitty days.

I was in the 5th grade in 1963, already a weird year because the entire 5th grade was located in our high school due to the old Talbott building closing 1/2 the rooms from old age (built in 1900).
Our town in NW Montana had one K-8 location and one 9-12 high school.
Total population in town was 2100. 5 churchs, 4 sawmills, one aluminum plant, one stoplight that ran from 8am to 10pm and 23 bars, full liquor, wine and beer.
I remember when How the Grinch stole Christmas, and A Charlie Brown Christmas premiered.
Back then you saw it once then you had to wait until the next year to see it again.
Now-a-days you can see it again on Beta Max oops!, VCR oops!, DVD oops!, blue-ray disk, over, and over, and over........Dang, I almost forgot my Pepto-Dismal before bed.......sheesh!

Such was the plight of growing up in the 60's.
I loved those too, and remember the day... We waited for a month and missing them was the worst thing that could ever happen to a kid. But, how about Rudolph!!!! My sister sent me the DVD last year, but I'm saving it for Xmas, and only watching it once, like the good old days. I'm already getting edgy.

The Capitalists mean to divide, conquer and continue to impoverish the American working class.
They will convince one segment of that vast working class that another segment of the very same class, is actually the enemy.
Since the Capitalists are only 1% of the population, it is their only chance.
It is about Power much more than wealth, though they have both.
In this country, State propaganda is joined at the hip with the Capitalists propaganda, coming as it does behind the legal shield of the super person corporation. Propaganda is much more successful than State violence.
The Capitalists succeed brilliantly. The smirking suburbanites point to the rubes and the trailer trash and think that they are the enemy.
The xenophobic rural folks point to the urban and the suburban types and think that they are the enemy.
The working class is the great, even the super, majority of the population, though they have almost completely forgotten their identity, having been told for going on one hundred years that they are actually a middle class consumer.
They are working class citizens and they must awake to remember that their enemy is the Capitalist class.
The Capitalists know full well they are fighting a class war, most everyone else seems to have forgotten.

NOBODY ELSE IN THE PARTY will want to run against Obama. Palin will be "sacrificed" by party leaders (who secretely hope for enough soccer moms and Red Neck Rudys to come out to vote to make a decent showing in the polls.) THEY HAVE TO keep her close enough, to guarantee that she will not break out into a THIRD PARTY. That would be an utter disaster!
Sarah, running as a Republican, is the ONLY way for them to hold on to even a SMALL percent of their current House and Senate seats... otherwise it's goodbuy Repugs for a long long time.

Having Palin at the top of the ticket would result in large numbers of Repugnikans losing their House and Senate seats. That's why it isn't going to happen.
Remember, when you start talking about the 2012 primaries, you're talking about the necessity to raise a staggering amount of money. Yes, I know, for the narcissist moron that she is, Palin has shown an amazing ability to raise money. This won't last. Ask yourself this question, if you can bring yourself to do it; if you were a Repugnikan, and got a phone call from a fund-raiser asking you to contribute a considerable amount of money to Palin's campaign, would you do it? I wouldn't; my response would be, "how do I know that this money won't get spent on another shopping spree at Neiman Marcus?"
My theory is that the smart money will go to Romney. It's unlikely that he will ever be elected President, but with him at the top of the ticket, the Repugs would salvage some of those House and Senate seats you're talking about.
I think they'll run Huckabee.

I just finished Matt Latimer's inside view of the Bush white house (he was a speech writer for Bush and Rumsfield). Usually, I can't enjoy a book if I don't feel some empathy with the author but this one is an exception. The book was very entertaining to read. In part because of all the inside anecdotes of life in the Bush white house, and it was every bit as disgusting as you would imagine. But also to see Latimer's amazingly distorted world view. He witnesses events like the Iraq and Afghan wars, Katrina, the financial melt down and NEVER once considers the suffering of all the people effected. Instead he is constantly whining about what idiots the people he works with are and how he isn't getting all that he wants out of life. He has the emotional and intellectual maturity of a 14 year old, and not a very bright one. I would have expected even a republican speech writer to have some command of history, rhetoric, etc. but the best he can do when he wants to make a point is to refer to some common movie or TV show. He is a Hawkeye surrounded by Frank Burns or a certain mentor is his Obi-Wan. He also is amazingly star struck and shallow, more enthuses over the size of someone's office or their furniture than on their ideas or ability to lead.
As the republican party is self distructing around him he never once postulates that perhaps there is a flaw in the incredibly partisan, supply side, tax cutting, theology that they have lived by. Instead its as if things just fall about for no reason and as if the idiot Bush managed to seize control of the party by magic.
I'm glad I waited to get this book from the library rather than buying it. First I wouldn't want to give this guy money and second the book is really padded, the first 1/3 is the incredibly boring story of his early life before becoming a speech writer for Rumsfield.
She's only popular with Reslug men because the dirty, cheating dogs, know they have a real good chance of getting into her pants.
He wants this one on his score card as well. The challenge and all.
