My fight wasn't for me, it was for the future of these children. Hope is all we have for them. If we don't try to make things better for them now, things won't get better for them.
Axelrod flipped off Detroit's automakers.
I'm surprised at you. Your lead is very misleading.

Not $200 million on unapproved drugs in the free market health care system.
Pharmabiz hates us for our health-freedom.
The FDA hates us for our health-freedom.
Our unelected, bureaucratic "health authorities" would point to their regulatory problems that allow poison therapies on the market to justify a ban of non-toxic so-called "alternative" therapies, like the homeopathic remedy a pal's father uses to stave off seizures, forcing him to harm himself with "approved" poisonous products.
Complimentary medicine must be honored by a true health care system.

Sadly, the kitten died a few days later. :(

The two faced kitten is symbolic of blacks and whites coming together.
That sucks it died.
For cute blondes holding deformed kittens. Oh, and yay unity too.
It only cost 306 Billion in guarantee of assets that most know are nearly worthless. Plus 30 Billion cash injection under the TARP plan. We (the tax payers ) get a little bit of equity and the CEO may take a pay cut.
Now if the relief package was 700 Billion, and Citibank alone just consumed over 336 Billion, we've only just begun.
http://www.cnbc.com/id/27881752
PS if you say the 306 billion is buying assets that may be worth something someday, you do not understand the crisis.
well, they must save the CIA front bank.
to bail out one of the driving forces behind the push for privatization of Social Security.
Effin' shitheads.
Yeah the market is going to hurt in the morning
Anyone supporting stimulus packages it's not too late to change your mind. ROLMAO! Oh God I need to go lay in a fetal position somewhere now and twitch like a cockroach that got sprayed with Raid.
Nice that they wait to just before the holiday, that way no one will be available for comment, basturds.
That's the percentage of the comments made so far tonoght, I've made. What the hell, you all watching 24? I refuse to watch a program that is designed to put you in fear of another boogeyman.
But I did see enough to catch this little bit of propaganda.
jack Bauer is served by the new administration to stand trial for unlawful interrogation procedures.
A little social conditioning there?
Did you know the department of homeland security purposely designed their offices to look like the set of 24?
Our govt is too much of a joke.
I was right about how they distribute their propaganda.
or does he help establish AfriCom?
That's why traffic to this site is probably down somewhere around 20% or something. I have no data to support that. I just like acting on my gut feeling. It pretty much always works. Just ask Bush.
resting from emotional exhaustion.
Yes. True. As a non-American it's hard to get excited about what the deranged talking heads have to say now. The election is over. They're just flappin' their gums wasting air time. Snore. Doubleplussnore.
I have faith in Obama, so I'm waiting for him. He is a healer. And what America needs more than anything!!!!!!
I do love the picture. I'm glad today's kids aren't as fucked up as some of their parents.
Season...
It's propaganda...
And I knew that somethin was rotten in Denmark, when the righties all started fawning over Jack Bauer...
It was also the time I started to realize that the people on Fox News were a bunch of asshole fucktards.
ANOTHER former CEO of Goldman Sachs, the largest recipient of govt funding so far. He is also the one who steered Citigroup towards the faulty financial instruments, CDO's and poorly rated bonds.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/23/business/23...
What gives Barack? We have such an incredible revolving door of corporate troublemakers it doesn't matter who is president.
both you and the times are pretty vague
His name is mentioned several times in the article but it is regards to his past position with Citigroup, as well as Goldman Sachs.
is absolute Win. America the Beautiful.
How about the government just send everyone a dildo stamped YOUR GOVERNMENT (for anal-insertion only).
This would make it easier for everyone to understand just what is being done to fix the economic crisis.
Another church-shooting, courtesy of gun nut Supreme Court Justices. Stem cell research opponents will continue their fight against people recovering from terminal illnesses and disabilities, possibly because their churches will be bankrupt, if they're not able to rip them off with "donations" for prayers for miracles.
Through prospects for endlessly sustaining vital tissue-systems with regenerative therapies, society approaches the threshold of perpetual youth, biological immortality.
With disease and death optional, and a paradise of technology only emerging, who needs a miracle or an afterlife?

This is a long but interesting read. I think the most important revelation in the article is something that hasn't been widely reported yet.
These mortgage backed securities the government is buying may have mortgages in them that are fake. that's right these pools of mortgages were not only improperly rated, but may have been lumped together with mortgages that were based on shorts or credit default swaps.
that's one of many reasons why some of these securities may be worthless!
I think that most are aware of this.
If they were based on actual property and owners and a contract, they could be worth something. The fact that some of the mortgages do not exist in a given bond is pretty new news and I don't think the government would be openly purchasing fraudulent securities.
Bush's [non-]legacy.
does not make a good POTUS.
She had the frustration of trying to communicate with the asshats that visit here that always have a negative comment about everything the Obama camp is doing. Even though, Obama can't instill anything yet.
I would name that kitty Janus.
Citi dodges bullet
Government will guarantee losses on more than $300 billion in troubled assets and make a fresh $20 billion injection.

I thought I read somewhere the Somali Pirates were buying Citi so they would have someplace to park their future ransoms. They couldn't be anymore crooked than the people running it now. I really did see that someplace. I was sort of hoping it wasn't a joke.
Folks, this month has been good to me. My pick for prez won, George Bush cannot win anymore, and I had a birthday. Also, Turkey Day is near. I also printed a copy of those kids (see above) and put it on my fridge. Tickled pink is a good word.
I'm so full of Happy that I had to get an inhaler! I even filled out an application for employment at Obama's site. I filled it full of funny nonsense and crap, because even the FBI needs the poops and giggles now and then.
Lastly, I thought out turkey leftovers today and pondered a new level of the human experience, inspired by sandwiches. Visit my blog if you need sandwich ideas for turkey. Oh happy day! LOL!
The media used to point to long food lines as the problem with communist Russia? Well, looks like they came here!
Anyone heard from Xoites lately?
Unfortunately, their parents wouldn't always be proud of them. Sadly, the truth is that the Obama campaign divided America even more deeply than either of Bush's. Pensito Review did a post recently about college students who have reported death threats against Obama, including quite a few from Wasilla, Alaska. The bigots, Jebus freaks and run-of-the-mill Republicans who just can't stand Obama. I work for one of those right wing lunatics who spouts every right wing talking point ever spewed at Obama as if it's the Holy Gospel.
Speaking of which, has it ever occurred to anyone how many billboards there are on the highway written by God? More than you think...
But I refuse to accept that it's Obama's fault...this division was started by the extremists in the republican party who are racist to the core.
These people (the bible thumpers, the racists, and the ignorant) were spoon fed blatant, hateful lies about Obama, by the right wing media propagandists and whipped to a frothy, blind, frenzy...
As for the Holy Billboards...I have seen several of those, and I find it offensive...some asshole, "speaking" for god....I grow weary of these religious nutjobs....
I ran off some Jehova's Witnesses this weekend...that always brings a smile to my face...

Climate Change: It's Worse than You Think - http://www.desmogblog.com/climate-change-its-...
While it is perfectly understandable that he would choose to devote most of their early efforts to succoring the ailing economy, he needs to reiterate, as he has admirably done over the past few weeks, that a robust climate change agenda can be part and parcel with his administration’s goal of restoring the United States’ standing in the world. Unlike his predecessor, Obama now has the ability to make good on his responsibility of serving as the nation’s educator-in-chief; educating the public about climate change should be at the top of his list.
DesmogBlog Breaks DSCOVR Story in Nature - http://www.desmogblog.com/desmog-blog-breaks-...
According to Nature, NASA “is now in talks with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the US Air Force about finally getting the probe off the ground. But the negotiations might mean that the spacecraft loses its Earth-observing instruments and instead goes into orbit with a remit to stare only at the Sun. An Earth-observing satellite that can see the whole planet is described as 'crucial' to climate research."
However the clock is ticking on saving this mission from powerful people that want to destroy the spacecraft. Many scientists are starting to publicly voice their support for this critical mission and the data it would provide from vantage of Lagrangian point L1, one million miles away.
The Satellite to end all 'logical' debate on climate change...is critical to future generations...
New heights of stupidity for right wingnut republican'ts: More conservative stagnation, Con-servatives claim CAFE standards caused car companies’ woes - http://gristmill.grist.org/story/2008/11/23/1...
A key reason for Detroit's woes is that for decades they successfully fought efforts to build the kind of fuel-efficient cars the public has increasingly wanted to buy. Virtually all independent observers acknowledge that fact, but no con-servative leader can. After all, they provided the political support and the votes that blocked repeated efforts by progressive to toughen federal fuel economy standards.

'Market' cornered by reality-REFUTING 'NANNY STATE' PROPAGANDA - http://fredericksburg.com/News/FLS/2008/11200...
President Obama will have a New Deal-like mandate to restore government primacy in those areas--health care, financial markets--where profit goals have proved inimical to social goals. Alas, it's not that simple. Obama will take office acutely aware that 46 percent of the polity voted for a ticket that trafficked in [fearmongering about] socialism and redistribution as some radical-egalitarian conspiracy.
So, you can bet that the ink on Obama's health care bill won't have dried before red-state cries of "socialism" and "Hillarycare" split the air. Whether fear-mongering plays this time will depend partly on whether Obama can make several salient points over the din. There's this reflexive fear of the S-word. [But] we have long "socialized" the provision of certain essentials, from education to local law enforcement to national defense.
