My son, who I adopted, is from China. He's gone all the way through high school and two years of college and he still can't get a green card. The whole system is a joke.

The worst part is, all licenseing and inspections are done through the State and there are major fees involved (and I'm not talking about China). So, once the gov.'t says it's o.k. to adopt, and after you've spent aprox. 30k (here in the U.S.) then they put you through the wringer on validating it (green card). Money for services, no problem, money for certification etc... no problem, getting a green card is a whole nother matter.

Gee, I wonder why. Brewer lied about illegal alien-associated beheadings. The Pentagon handled pederasts as well as the Vatican. Blackwater had 30 shell companies. GOP incumbents could end up getting kicked out, too. Who cares about international law when I know I'm right? Um, they're fucking fortune tellers. What are you going to do, ask them to make accurate predictions? Hiring not enough to keep up with unemployment. It only took five decades to clean up a rocket waste site. Of course, it'll be seven more years before they actually get to it. Obamacare not very good at fulfilling claim of making insurance more affordable. Corruption in the USDA over recalled eggs. Uber prison-industrial complex, Jerry Brown-style.

Once upon a time, broadcast companies actually hired journalists to inform their audiences and they hired clowns and other actors to entertain.
The ratio of journalists to clowns was probably something like 20 to 1.
For programs labeled "news" in today's Corporate Controlled Media, the ratio of actual journalists to clowns is more like 1 to 200.
If Edward R. Murrow came back and saw what is being done in the name of journalism he'd never stop throwing up.
But that would be from all the chemo from all the chain-smoking he did...

Back in the days when America could trust the people that brought them the news.
Many of those gentlemen came up through the newspaper ranks and were excellent reporters of the facts. And most had seen and felt the horrors of war firsthand. Eric Severeid, along with Murrow, reported on the Nazi threat even before the war. Robert Trout was one of the first broadcasters to flash the news of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and Walter Cronkite was a war correspondent in the field with the US Army in Europe.
Cronkite also saw through the lies of Vietnam and expressed his opinion vigorously, forcing LBJ to admit, "If I've lost Cronkite, I've lost the country".
This was The News, and the talking heads on many networks today are essentially bovine fertilizer distributors.

I agree Mike , being older and getting towards the end of the conveyor belt I gotta say that I sure miss the old days , things have changed so much and not for the better . As for news and the media , so called journalists and talking heads today , they are for the most part nothing but methane dispensers and fountains of BS , no doubt about it one of the main reasons that this country has gone all to hell and has fallen so far .I am glad I'm not young , the future looks pretty friggin bleak for all but those sitting pretty at the top .
Insanity , it is what it is , there is no understanding it .
