I fear they still outsmart the majority of white Americans (burn again Christians).
When I traveled to US during university in the south, it struck me I had so much better conversations and better relations with the blacks who were much more able to put things in perspective and were overall 'smarter' imho. While all the white's (vast majority, not all of them, I did befriend some 'hippies'), who were supposed to be and thought to be the 'smart' ones were so full of shit, contradictions and unable to distinguish between facts and lies, all the while bragging about their higher moral grounds and principles.
By the way I'm as white as the background here at C&C, I studied economics and engineering, so you'd expect a white European elitist to befriend white American elitist... Seems the values of mainstream Europe is closer to your extreme left.
And I did look ackward between all the blacks at their parties, but a great time did I enjoy.
And no, i would not expect an enlightened individual who has not been brainwashed to find anything to talk about with the, "The problem with this country is Welfare" crowd. The steady, unchanging (unchangeable) two dimensional and incorrect political viewpoint prevalent among the vast majority of zombies stumbling around in the darkness across our country is why we are heading into a depression, have no real relevant agenda and are teetering on the edge of extinction.

IQ is a subjective measure of intelligence not based in reality-like the SATs...
errrrr... actually I think SAT scores are used frequently as a reference for IQ. IE: an SAT score of 1300 is equivalent to an IQ of 130 give or take a few points.
... with an adaptation that's about to expire. It goes something like this: Q: What do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 85? A: Your Honor. Q: What do you call an MBA with an IQ of 85? A: Mr. President.

I think these numbers are all bullshit; just to make you enraged and say: "I'm smarter than that doofus!" and then you take their little test and see all of their lovely advertising.

If you really like these kinds of tests --personality tests-- this site has about 60 very good ones (no advertising.) In my spare time, I've done them all and found them very interesting. (No IQ test though.)

An Israeli patrol boat intercepted a yacht carrying three tons of medical supplies to Gaza in international waters early on Tuesday as it attempted to run an Israeli blockade. According to those on board, the patrol boat accused the relief vessel of being involved in terrorist activity and then deliberately rammed it, forcing it to return to port in Lebanon.

I remember one New Years Eve while stationed in Geramny back in the early 80s. We had a bottle rocket battle from the barracks against the Germans in the apartments across the street. Lots of fun.
I also remember one summer when I was a kid going on a welding job with my brother. It was just below the Fish and Game Club and they were shooting trap and there was shot falling in the trees around us as my brother was working. Kinda freaky at first but when you realized it was harmless it wasn't so bad. Just don't look up!!
The scientific foundations for IQ tests or academic tests like the SAT are based on the pseudo science that helped create Eugenics, and are based on social integration, where any sub group being tested is compared to a subjective norm. The subjective norm is invariably a white/Eurocentric/Christian group with questions set out of time by referencing information relevant to a generation in the past. So if you’re part of a minority, anything other than European stock, non-Christian, and young, your IQ score will be lower than the white, American-European, Christian, and middle aged person taking the test.
The real underline unexpected result of the testing is the social stratification of a large part of the population that can be dismissed for their supposed lack of intelligence as they are already because of economic suppositions i.e. the poor don’t count either. And poor is anyone that HAS to work for a living.

...is a documentary that many PBS stations have finally gotten around to airing. I happened upon it last night on my PBS station here in Philly. If anyone, anywhere thinks that Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush, Yoo, and all of the other disgusting creeps who allowed and even promoted "enhanced interrogation techniques" is not guilty of war crimes, you should search out and see this film - you can watch it on line. It's no wonder most of the folks around the world hate us.
Rather than take these criminals to the Hague, I suggest we just lock them up, chain them naked to the floor, in a freezing cold, windowless, cement room with incessant blaring hard rock music for a few months - just exactly what they did to hundreds of innocent men.
