It's always kind of amusing watching Republicans fight over that cherished Tea Party endorsement the way dogs fight over a bone. As they apparently are in upstate New York's congressional District 26 -- the district where Christopher Lee most recently posed as a Republican congressman -- where there's now a disgruntled ex-Republican candidate named Jack Davis running as a third-party Tea Party candidate against a Republican who likewise claims various Tea Party endorsements.
Seems things have gotten down to the usual thuggishness and pettiness:
A 15-second video shows a tea party congressional candidate in New York scuffling with a Republican Party volunteer who questioned his absence from a debate.
The video posted on YouTube shows candidate Jack Davis asking the volunteer Wednesday whether he wants to “punch it out” after a campaign event in Greece, outside Rochester.
Davis was responding to the man’s repeated calls for him to explain why he backed out of a debate held Thursday in Buffalo.
Davis announced Wednesday he’d changed his mind about participating in the debate with the two major party candidates in the May 24 special election for the 26th District seat. Instead, he said he’d speak to voters directly via an electronic town hall meeting May 21.
In the video, the 78-year-old candidate steps toward the volunteer, who was holding a camera and asking, “Why did you back out of the debate? Why did you back out of the debate?”
“Do you want to punch it out?” Davis asks before swiping at the camera with his right hand.
Davis then laughs as he walks to his car while a man who appears to be a Davis campaign aide approaches the cameraman. As the camera shakes, the cameraman groans out of view as if he has been struck and then resumes asking Davis, “Why did you back out of the debate?”
It turns out that the videographer is in fact the chief of staff for the Republican front-runner.
Of course, the national Tea Party organizations are disowning Davis and claiming he's a Democrat in disguise. Even though he in fact ran as a Republican candidate and earned the endorsement of the western New York Tea Partiers.
This should be entertaining to watch, if nothing else.

so I am simply LOVING this stuff.
Are we not entertained?!?
Why, yes. Yes we are.
I checked out the comments on the WaPo article. Sure enough, the 1st comment there could have been lifted straight from a troll post on TP or here... anyone to the left of Attila the Hun is called "Far Left" --- always capitalized.
Still, I have to admit a certain craving for popcorn, all of a sudden... "Wild Kingdom... Where wingers eat their own"

I may have missed it but I would like to know what the Teabaggers think about subsidies for the richest corporations on earth. They can go beat each other up ofter they answer that question.
The T-people are so reasonable and balanced.
Pass the popcorn.

So as long as these troglodytes choose to treat each other like an invading alien 'thing', other than another human, I'm just going to encourage them to escalate this to the point of insanity...please... this is such a positive message you two are sending voters in the district... Nothing we can't handle up here with a couple of baseball bats!!!
Oh, there is a likelihood one or both of them will end up in an emergency room?? Ha, not in THIS neighbored.. ALL ER's have been closed - no money so they gotta fend foe their own... Maybe the Veterinarian down the street can help... oh, they moved out...humm.. so how do we stop this blood spouting out of this guys head?? Hum... don't know, let's see.. what does it say on WEB M.D...?? .....hummm.... says we really need to get this guy to the hospital soon or he may bleed to death..!! 75 miles away?? How can there not be a hospital for 75 miles?? Ah..jez....get him in the truck..we'll have to try to get down the mountain...it's snowing like a bandit out here.. hugh... I'm almost out of gas!!! Can we take someone else's car?? .. Hey, Neal?? Can we take your car?? It looks like it has better tires on it than mine..We may have a better shot of getting down the hill alive... Ok.. Meet you outside in a few minutes....
Couple of hours pass.... cell phone rings... there's been a car crash... Mr. Lee only has scrapes and bruises but Davis and six members of his family die in the accident sliding into a bridge embankment... Oh well, it's time to get another candidate on the ticket before the caucuses right?? OK.. let's stop and have some dinner and drinks.... We'll follow you guys in the Honda.... wwhhiirrrrrrrrr..................
Davis ran as a Democrat 3 times. I worked on his campaign once. Carl Rove and the Boner are involved here as they know how this election will reflect on their plans for devastating the country. I'd bet this is a Rove trick trying to take advantage of Davis's temper and get him excited so he does something to hurt his campaign. The only problems is that repiglicans don't realize the mentality of their own teabaggers. I'm sure they are standing in Jack's corner wishing he connected with a couple shots and that this could help Davis. The teabaggers don't realize they are tools of the GOP. It is hysterical how the teabagger party has separated itself from Davis. The comments in the Buffalo News have shifted greatly from many right winger retards to people scared of the repiglicans. The repigs are trying to buy this election but it is going to take a lot of stupid and selfish repigs to buy this race. I can't believe that Hochul doesn't have a bigger lead considering the repiglican vote is divided between Davis and Corwin. It shows the greed and selfishness and stupidity in the district.
named a lot of the towns around Western NY with the Roman Empire in mind... let 'er fall
I enjoyed the old guy laughing after slugging the camera guy.
Gotta luv it.
They can't deny that they've been doin this stuff for a long time now.
This will be very entertaining. gotts ta get tons of popcorn for this show.

What is your conceptual, continuity?
It's funny because it was so predictable and they never saw it coming. Sooner or later, the clown is going to get a pie in the face. The clown is the only one not expecting it.
Isn't this a kinda the same thing? "Questioning whether Davis has the temperament to serve in Congress, Langworthy added: “Why are we putting Mike Mallia and this campaign through Nuremberg over the fact that one candidate lashed out, lost his cool and misbehaved?” " Nuremberg? Really? The Erie County GOP chairman equates putting the Nazi's on trial fro war crimes with criticism of Corwin's staffer. What a nozzle.

Gawd, I love to see these GOP/Teabagger intramural scrimmages, assholes vs. even bigger assholes.
Rachel Maddow had an interesting report on her program on May 13:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26315908//vp/4303...
Essentialy, Monica Goodling, who was involved in the US Attorneys scandal during the Bush/Gonzales era, was reprimanded by the Virginia Bar Association for her role in attempting to politicize the appointments. One of the candidates she refused to consider for an anti-terrorism post was Willam Hochul, currently the US Attorney for the Western District of New York State.
Mr. Hochul was turned down for the position solely because his wife was active in Democratic politics. And wonder of wonders, Kathy Hochul now just happens to be the Democratic candidate for a special election in the NY 26th District, and in an extremely red district which was gerrymandered to be a lock for the Republicans, she is currently running virtually neck and neck in the polls with the Republican, with a very thin margin ahead.
With any luck, numb-nuts Jack Davis is going to be the spoiler.
If you feel like spending a few bucks just to irritate the GOP/Baggers, Kathy Hochul would be the one who could use the help. I'm not in her district, and I'm making a contribution.

I love that clip. The annoying voice of the turdboy chattering away with the camera going every which (I mean every Blairwitch way) and then those funny sounds turdboy was making after getting shoved. Well now that is great TV. Yelling and wacky camera work is Fox Spews specialty. Maybe turdboy was trying to mimic his favorite cable station Fox Spews. Davis laughing away at the end was great.
