WTF is he still saying that phony word? The first time he said it it seemed like an honest-to-goddness verbal gaffe, like he was struggling to sound intelligent. Everyone laughed at him for it at the time, but he keeps using it for whatever reason. Maybe he thinks it gives him populist appeal, or it's an anti-intellectual thing, but it reminds me of nothing more than the kid who farts in class and, noticing that everyone laughed, keeps farting to get a second laugh that never comes.
It was an amazing thing to watch. The guy sees himself as something very special. He's in just about total denial. He seems to think that our only beef with him about Katrina was that he flew over and didn't land. I mean, that's what he talked about when he was asked about the failure on the Gulf Coast. Then later in the conference he seemed outraged about the complaints that the govt. didn't act fast enough. He praised the helicopter "drivers" several times and used that word, drivers. Since he himself is supposed to be a US trained pilot, I found it odd that he called them helicopter drivers.
I am so excited about next Tuesday! I have been waiting for that day for eight long miserable years. To see him step on that helicopter and leave the white house will be everyone's reward for being able to stay sane.
What are we going to do to make sure he pays for his crimes.
Should we try to honestly solve the Anthrax case?
Should we talk openly and repeatedly about the need for justice?
Should we push for more investigative journalism on the blogs, and not just posting of opinions and reflection on the daily news feeds?
I understand cursing him out serves no purpose. Although it is a nice release of pent up emotions and anger once in a while. But what will serve the purpose of getting this Country out of this mess.
He said he hadn't come in contact with any people who were angry with him of spoke ill of him. Of course he didn't. He never was among any crowds except pre-screened ones.
And don't give me that tired ass Supreme Court and stolen vote argument...tens of millions of idiots willfully voted for his career imbecile....enough to allow voter malfeasance to take place.
Try to tamp down some of that anger by reminding yourself how you would be feeling right now if McCain and Palin were being sworn in next Tuesday. See? You're already feeling better.
It's like me being on a diet and losing only twenty-five pounds when my goal was fifty. Instead of being disappointed, think of where I'd be if I hadn't dieted at all.
Just watched it. I've been doing research on psychopathy (don't ask), and there's a theory that the commonly reported feeling of skin-crawling in the presence of psychopaths is an evolutionary response. Think about it when you watch the video because I think he suffers from psychopathy, and the weird grins and awkward responses are evidence of that.
If I had done the things he has done, they would have to put me on suicide watch. He on the other hand says he can look in the mirror and be proud of what he sees.
I think he could have skipped the part about having "joyous days" even during the time of war and soldiers getting killed. I wish one of the reporters would have asked him if the day he rained death down on Iraq in the name of "shock and awe" had its joyous moments.
I started the day feeling very ill, went to work but left for home for the first time in years, started to feel a little better, saw the video, and now feel sick to my stomach. What a poisonous, evil, little man Bush is, and what will we have to do for the world to forgive us for inflicting him on it for eight long years?
This is why every time I read a comment saying President Obama is going to be like this waste of a man, I just shake my head in amazement. The only thing these two men have in common is that they are both males.
Bush said this morning that Obama would have his critics while he's in office. Little did bush know the critics have already started even before he's in office. Sometimes I think after these last eight awful years, some of us are just addicted to complaining. I'm trying to break that habit. I'm going to take a positive attitude until I'm given real reason not to. For now it feels good just to know that bush will be gone and we can have our country back.
Was Helen Thomas there today? He was mentioning some reporters by name when he began this thing and I didn't hear her name mentioned. If she was there, he should have said something respectful to her.
In a nut shell:"I think Israel has the right to defend itself".
Well it seems to me you festering clot, that ALL nations have the right to defend themselves.
I'm soooooooooooooo tired of this most inane of responses I could just retch with the depressing cynicism and predictability of the thing.
All this quite apart from the glaring fact that Israel certainly in this case, has not so much "defended" anything. On the contrary,it has visited destruction on the captive and relatively weak and defenseless population of Gaza.Try George,at least once before you leave office,to see things from both sides of this very complex and tragic situation. You fucking monster.
where did they get the rockets?
Oh yeah, Iran, but it was the Gazans or Hamas launching them and after awhile, I guess the Israelis ran out of options. I mean they could've tried a cease-f..oh wait, there already was one that Hamas violated. I guess they could've tried talking to..oh wait, all Hamas wants is the destruction of Israel. I guess the options were limited.
I think the considerable effort shown by the white house over the last month to defend bush's legacy are a good indicator that reality IS, in fact, starting to sink in.
Will it change anything? No.
But...is there a chance that bush will leave office and be miserable with guilt for the rest of his life over this, his greatest failure....I actually believe so.
Of all the things in this world that keep me up at night, it's the apologies I didn't say and the "What ifs" that haunt me the most.
With reality starting to sink in, I imagine ol w. is going to have quite a few sleepless nights.
It's not justice, but...it will have to do, I guess.

At least he won't go out wrinkled.
You took away my only chance at self-aggrandizement for the day!
Looks like I'll have to go get drunk and blame everyone else for my problems, just like bush...
F*&K bush!
--JA--please don't use this thread to curse him out. It serves no purpose...
Oh well, at least he's moving back to Texas
If we picked up the habit of throwing our shoes at him
He'd be duckin' s**t-kicker boots
With jingling jangling spurs still attached.
a neighbor? Better start practicing your boot toss...
I threw my combat boots in the dumpster the last day in the Air Force.
shoulda put them on ebay
There was no ebay nor internet

He was trying to be cute when he used the word. Trying to get a laugh. He's as lame at comedy as he is at everything else.
as usual...someone else will clean up after you.

for the final time.
And when he visits the oval office bathroom a final time before walking out to the helicopter, he catches his penis in his zipper.
maybe Dick could catch his "dick" too?

Who is this "we" you speak of kemosabe? I didn't vote for him either time.
...mad that he's walking out of office on his own volition and "pissed" at the people who voted for him.

Continuing to butcher the English language until the bitter end. At least he was consistent, I guess.

bringing him and dick up on charges, but I think you know were that's not going...
This is why every time I read a comment saying President Obama is going to be like this waste of a man, I just shake my head in amazement. The only thing these two men have in common is that they are both males.
Every day, an army of buyers remorsed "progessives" (apparent all having ESP) deluge this site with that claim.
obama is not a neolib
he is a moderate....look at his voting record
the far left of the candidates were rejected during the primaries
mostly because obama created the best machine that politics has ever seen
i think too many thought that obama wanted to turn swords into plowshares and strip the rich to give to the poor
i didnt
i did know that he can pronounce nuclear...and thats good enough for me

Is Bush really male?
I didn't know meat puppets had a sex.
a shoe squall! he did have that 'ready to duck' look, din' he?
Can you tell if the press corps is wearing socks?
destroy the economy to turn back all the new deal programs...check
turn the world into a neocon hell on earth....check
all my buddies are rich beyond their wildest dreams....check
prove to pappy that i can kill people better than he....check

Not that I expected him to have a list ready by now, but I fear that reading the list will take up more time than this 50 min. wankfest did.
I see W skipped completely over Helen Thomas. So typical of him.
I saw the press conference live, and for me it really struck home the fact that the best bs-er's are the ones who believe their own bs.

Did you mean to say, "Bush's final Pisser" and misspelt it by mistake?
pisser (n.) Brit. slang, A very disagreeable difficulty
