Limbaugh called a Hypocrite and mean-spirited on CNBC
CNBC's Mark Haines who is not noted for his left wing politics did what so many TV hosts and politicians are afraid to do. He called out Rush Limbaugh on his spiteful statement; that he hopes President Obama will fail and basically calls him a political hack. Limbaugh really had no answer.
Haines: I'm sorry a week after the inauguration you said you hope he fails. Are you now admitting that it was a stupid and mean-spirited thing to say?
Rush: No, it was an accurate thing to say, it was an honest thing to say and it came...
Haines: Well then how is that bipartisan?
Rush: Well, if you'll let me explain.
Haines: Well so far you haven't.
Rush: You've been contentious for no reason. It came after a thorough explanation and my belief that liberalism is what Obama represents destroys the free market, destroys capitalism and this stimulus plan is all about re-FDRing America, the New Deal and as a conservative I want liberalism to fail. I want the country to succeed. And that's what I meant and that's what I over and over again., You've got to stop reading these left wing media sites...

..you accept responsibility at the ballot box. I can tell you, true fiscal conservatives are mad as hell the party political platform hasn't been followed in the last eight years, even longer, less government spending, less taxes, a strong national defense and more personal liberty.
There are specific reasons why this is so. But the political agenda of the corporate wing of the party is not particularly interested in lower taxes, or lower government spending. We are presently fighting a losing battle to get at least some ballance back between the corporate wing and the grassroots.

and I live in Europe, and work in the media. If you seriously think that most Europeans will go for tax cuts and lose their quality healthcare benefits and other social benefits, you have never left the country, met a European, met an American ex-pat like myself, or read or watched world news.

was a REPUBLICAN candidate from a REPUBLICAN family who ran and won in REPUBLICAN primaries. He was a REPUBLICAN president who for 6 of his 8 years had a REPUBLICAN House and Senate. As such, he had great influence over the REPUBLICAN platform. The failure is REPUBLICANISM.
..the failure was "Republicanism". As I have said, there are at present a lot of fiscal conservatives upset as hell that the party is controlled by corporatism, which doesn't share the same values as as articulated in the party platform. To may of us, what has failed is corporatism, not fiscal conservatism.
As I have said in the other right wing blogs, we now for the first time have an opportunity to regain our rightful within the party leadership, using the Internet and the inherent power of numbers the grassroots of the party represent.
