Tweety's love for Tom Delay is mythic as we all know so it's funny that he has to try and argue with him against the looney-birther movement. The fact that he loves them explains a lot. By the way, watching the Bugman talk about how he dealt with town halls is hysterical. He obviously treated town hallers better than members of his own party, but even Delay would probably have brought some pesticide with him at one today because many of the birthers are Ron Paul fans and they hate Republicans almost as much as they hate Obama.
Matthews: You're a man of the right and proudly so, I wonder whether you're even comfortable with the way it's headed. We've got people that we have people that question whether the president is legitimate or not. Whether he was born in the US or not and they mean it viscerally. It isn't something they just want to check his papers. They don't think he is. Where are you on that one?
We have people on the far right but they say they are birthers. How far do you go these days, Mr. Leader? Are you over with the birthers are you over with them?
Delay was trying not to answer the question and Chris kept coming back to it.

So he's looking for Obama's papers. The president better watch out. He also wants to get rid of Medicare and SCHIP and maybe the state of Texas too. Who knows....

I saw him for a second on teevee, and the second I saw him I switched channels. I'd rather watch the News Hour than Matthew's lame attempt to get ratings after saying FU to progressives.

The moment Matthews announced he was having DeLay on, I turned "Hard Ball" off-period. It's Matthews who gave Coulter air time & kisses DeLay's feet before washing them. When Lawrence O'Donnell replaced Tweety recently for a few days, it was like a breath of fresh progressive air. I actually looked forward to turning "Hardball" on. Matthews belongs on Fox News with Joe the Scar and his house keeper, Mika.
They should shit can Matthews and replace him with O' Donnell ASAP. Anybody that gives a nutjob criminal like Delay/Coulter or any of those circus freaks airtime is an incompetent.

This is the dumbest question Tweety has ever asked. Of course he's comfortable with the way it is. He was a big contributor to the way politics are currently in this country. Everyone remember his "black list" of people in his own party who didn't toe the line? Imagine how much of an asshole he was to the oppisition. He enjoys dirty politics. It was on KRXA, The Scott Dick show. He mentioned a poll. I can't say which one, I was kinda busy drivin and all, But I did catch him saying something like 62% of people polled believe Hawaii is not a state. Coulda been 42 %. But still.
I have no idea who they polled or who had the poll. But when it comes to birthers, you gotta wonder.
They are merely people who are intensely interested in the question asked,and usually a particular take on it. Jon Stewart just had a segment on this in which he SKEWERED all of the cable news shows. Unless it's a scientifically random sample, such as those taken by Gallup, several universities, or the like, you'd do well to forget about them.
As for DeLay, it will be my extreme pleasure to BOYCOTT Hardball unless O'Donnell is subbing and Dancing With the Stars the whole season. There's no excuse for an indicted and disgraced ex-Congressman to have his awful campaign behavior swept under the carpet as if his actions were OK.
But for some reason I can't explain, the thought of some of these birthers believing that Hawaii isn't a state doesn't surprise me.

I can't boycott shows I never watch. I did catch O'Donnell while going through the channels and thought he was a refreshing change from that whore Tweety.
Also, I did watch the DeLay interview long enough to see 'ole Tom assure everybody of his 'masculinity'. He holds up a shoe like the dancing people have to wear...it has a higher heel, and joshes around how that isn't a 'Texas' shoe. Some there don't believe its a state, and some hope it will become one.

Plus, the people of Puerto Rico don't want to be a state. They don't want to be part of the US.
Their exemption from many Federal taxes also exempts them from many Federal funds & services.
And while they can vote in the Primaries, they can't vote in the General election (of president).

Just in case any Freepers are reading this, here's the story:
The "short-form" birth certificate that the President has IS the "official" birth certificate of Hawaii. The "longform" version, documented at birth, now exists only electronically after the State of Hawaii digitized all non-critical public documents in the (iirc) late 80's (early 90s?).
The "birthers" keep demanding he produce a document that was destroyed before Obama ever even entered politics. Yet still, they continue to demand, "Just show us your birth certificate!" So he shows them the "short-form" version (that most of us have) and they say, "Not good enough! We want the long form!" And though the "long form" digital BC has been reviewed and validated, it can not be released to the public because it is a government document (counterfeiting issues).
director of Hawaii record department, they did NOT destroy the original birth certificates, they did enter the short form information in the computers. All of the digitized documents are still kept in archive as is required by Hawaiian law. And it can be released if Obama authorizes it. There is a current bill that was introduced to make the long form BC of any politician with a Hawaiian BC available to the public.
I have not read anything confirming the original printed records still exist and would like to see confirmation of that.
And, going back to the original point, even if God himself delivered that "long form", birthers would still deny its authenticity, so why play the game?

Then why are there so many attorneys in court on his behalf? Last time I checked they had to have authorization from the person named in the suit to represent someone in court, with a couple of exceptions ie mentally incompetent persons and minors can have an attorney appointed on their behalf.
And they can't release it for security reasons, except on his(or a direct family member) authorization. You fail to grasp that they CAN release it with authorization. And why would he be worried about that? Since he has already released the short form? Pretty much the only additional information on the long form is the Drs. name and the name and address of the hospital.

And the house I grew up in didn't have lead based paint, which can effect the brain development of children, lead poisoning in adults works a bit different. And the stuff in my current house is pretty well encapsulated unless I do any remodeling, and I make sure that when I do I seal the area and decontaminate it thoroughly afterward, I try to keep my children safe to a degree.

Take a look at my past comments and tell me how many times I've brought this up. I read and see about the birther movement more on this site than anywhere else. If there is nothing to it and its a dead issue why don't you just ignore it rather than waste your time complaining about them? Just let them waste their time and money on it. I took a look at my "birth certificate" (it was folded and compressed so much that it's in several parts). It says "Certificate of Live Birth" (according to the Director of Health in Hawaii, "certification" of live birth & "certificate" of live birth are the same thing, just different terminology).
My "certificate of live birth" was good enough to:
Get a driver's license
Get an ENHANCED driver's license (allows entry into Canada)
Enlist in the US Army (to handle high explosives & automatic weaponry)
Get a CONFIDENTIAL (one step below secret) Security Clearance to assemble and guard tactical nuclear weapons)
Get a US Passport.
If Tom "The Hammerhead" Delay needs to see Obama's, it was posted on stopthesmears.com and FactCheck.org. It was verified by the Registrar & Director of Health in Hawaii.
