Why is it that when elderly people (86 in this case) plow into stores, other people, that cops "have to investigate further"? Why a double standard? If I plowed my car into a store at 60 MPH, destroying it and sending four people to the hospital, I'd be tazed and beaten by the cops.
This elderly woman, who probably should not have been behind the wheel for years, went home tonight without as much as a citation.

This is a serious problem in my state with a huge aged population. I'm not unsympathetic to their loss of independence, but it shouldn't be at the expense of the innocent.
