It's time to begin a protest of these heinous actions by McCain and Palin and their "puppets" at these rallies (Sheriff Mike Scott and Bill Platt, GOP Chair, Lehigh, Pa.) These two individuals acting on behalf of the McCain campaign need to be brought to justice. It's time for some class action lawsuits to hit them where it hurts since, obviously, law enforcement is asleep at the wheel at these rallies.
What's it going to take? Something violent to happen and endanger the lives of thousands of rally attendees?
This is patently wrong and in violation of the Patriot Act - to actively incite and encourage violence and death threats in the public arena.
Time to write to every congressman you know - the Feds- and every law enforcement agency in this country to stop this type of "abetting of domestic terrorism" among our ranks.

1. Clearly the Patriot Act only applies to brown people, and inciting violence is, again, only a crime that non-whites can be charged with. Limbaugh has already proved this with his Operation Chaos stunt.
2. The "law" is not asleep at the wheel. It's up on stage, behind the microphone at the McCain/Palin events.
3. I'm sure the sign of Mike Scott in the Sheriff's uniform was meant to send Jim Crow-style shivers up the spines of anybody with a darker than egg shell complexion.

4. Since it's obvious that this stuff is only making the Republicans look VERY bad, it's obvious that they're also pretty desperate. These are the people they normally want to hide in the closet, except when it comes to donating money, and conducting PUSH POLLS outside the local Wallmart. The fact that they're now holding rallies to ENCOURAGE them is a sign that all they're concerned about at this point is hanging on to their wingnut base. They've given up all hope of winning the election, and given up MOST hope about swinging moderate voters.
At this point they're just trying to throw enough red meat at the nutcases to hang on to the deep red states. If they have to send Palin to NORTH CAROLINA to whip up the KKK, you know they're pretty desperate.

I just got my US citizenship a couple of weeks ago, but I've lived here for 15yrs and I have never seen this country so divided. After 9-11 there was so much fear and anger and thanks to Bush and his inept administration the real enemy, Bin Laden, was never caught. So there was no one to vent that anger on, no bad guy to punish. Unfortunately it seems the neocons have turned that frustration and anger inward, onto their fellow Americans. Have they forgotton who's the real enemy? The real enemy is sitting in a cave somewhere in the mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan, laughing his socks off beneath a sign that says "Mission Accomplished".

After Obama wins the election, I don't expect things to miraculously turn around but I truly believe it will all start to improve. Some of my friends in Pa who attended one of their rallies recently have said that the atmosphere was so violently charged that they'd never go to another of their rallies ever again.

The word from Pa is that the residents are calling for the immediate removal and apology of Bill Platt for "inciting the crowd to violence". These are the real culprits here. They all need to spend an evening in jail for what they're trying to do.
