by Zen Comix at The Aristocrats http://ristocrats.blogspot.com So what else is new? Wall Street Journal, emphasis added:

So on the day that the Mitchell report on steroid use was being released, reporters again were asking why Bush — an owner of the Texas Rangers in the early 1990s — didn’t notice the epidemic of performance-enhancing drugs that was then taking hold of the game?

White House spokeswoman Dana Perino was ready, pointing to an ESPN interview Bush did recently, in which he said that he’s thought long and hard about it, but doesn’t recall ever seeing or hearing evidence of a steroid problem. ...read more

Bush says that steroids "sullied" the sport...Ironic from the man that sullied not only the office of the President, but the global reputation of this country as well.

...And Jose Canseco claims "that Bush smirked his way through his ownership tenure, as syringes were passed around the locker room like a Christmas at Courtney Love's house."

NY Times is chock full of Chalabi

Arianna: It's hard to believe, but the New York Times is back on Chalabi. Not unlike Courtney Love, the paper of record swears it's going to go straight, stop using, be responsible, really change this time, and then it happens again. For whatever reason, the paper falls off the wagon...read on

Bernie Goldberg's new book: Hannity is in Heaven

A picture named Bernie.jpg

OK, I had to watch the segment about his new, more biased than ever book:100 People Who Are Screwing Up America. I wonder who would top the list..let's see...Does anyone think that Osama Bin Laden might be the one? Does Bernie think Osama played the pivitol roll in screwing up our country? Colmes makes it quite obvious that the amount of research Bernie used to write his entire book was probably less than it took me to pen this post.

NewsHounds has a full wrap-up on the segment:.. "Judging from the excerpts read by Alan Colmes, the book is nothing but a vitriolic attack on those Goldberg doesn't like. For example, Colmes said that there is only one word under Courtney Love, "Ho." Under Tim Robbins, Colmes said it says, "You plug in arrogant, know-it-all, whiny windbag into Google, his name comes up."

The Moderate Voice writes: But you can see by this list run in the Seatte Times that his top 10 do reflect a certain....ahem...bias.

Norbizness takes a look at the list

Hannity's schtick is so boring. He complains about the mean and nasty liberals yet just simply gushes when a rabid right wing ideologue prints an attack piece.

Cutting to the Chase

A compromise I can really stand behind

Amanda at Pandagon talks about the "Stem Cell Living Will" that I wrote with some legalese help by jonidp and cross posted on Jesus General:

This seems to me to be a perfect compromise position--if you think stem cell research is wrong, you are perfectly welcome never to use the results of such research. I even suggest that the FDA mandate labeling any drugs or treatments that come out of this research with a big red sticker, so that no fundies accidentally partake of any life-saving treatments that come from this research...read on

says: Stem Cell Riot: The New York Times' Sheryl Gay Stolberg notes that all eyes will now be on the Senate. In particular, eyes are on majority leader Bill Frist, whose rank political maneuvering in the Schiavo debacle and anti-filibuster bluster has his presidential aspirations sinking faster than Courtney Love on a four-day bender...read on
