It's Day II of our C&L donation drive. Won't you please help us to continue to grow and keep the news flowing? We've been the leaders of covering the rise of right wing extremism in the GOP after the 2008 election when the traditional media refused to cover it. There's plenty of corporate money flowing in from the MSM types that are trying to buy up all the Internet real estate and push out progressive blogs altogether. We're here to stay, but we'd like to be able to bring you more original reporting and expanded coverage heading into the 2012 election.

I have five "Over The Cliff" books to give away today; the first five people to donate $100.00 or more will receive a copy. I won't forget about the rest of our donors because any amount you can contribute will be a great help to us, especially in this economy.

It's been almost a year since I had our last C&L fundraising drive and the response from our readership was terrific.

With the 2012 election fast approaching I'm going to need your help again because we'll need more staff, which might include writers, reporters and upgrades to the C&L team and website. Won't you please donate whatever you can? In a time like this with so many Republican Tea Party politicians and Third Way Democrats trying to take us back before the days of FDR's New Deal and where Elitist Royalty ruled; I think America needs as many people fighting for their rights as we can muster and I think we've been leaders in that fight.

I don't have to tell you how much effort C&L and our team puts out to keep the news flowing every day, week in and week out. Supporting progressive candidates and causes has also been high on our list and I'm proud of my work with Blue America PAC.
Our sister sites like Video Cafe keeps pumping out the videos, LNMC Music Club keeps pumping out the music and Newstalgia keeps pumping out incredible historical information that corresponds to current events.

We've begun designing new websites which I intend to introduce in the coming year to our C&L community and diaries for our readers are not far behind. If you'd like to snail mail a check instead as a donation, here's our mailing address:

Part II of our year end donation drive begins today. Thanks so much for everyone that has donated so far. We've had over 200 donations already so please don't stop now.

It's been a tough year for the entire country, but I think we're doing our best to represent and so has our entire Team Crooks. I've also been a volunteer for Blue America and the support you have shown our Campaign for Health Care Choice and the many great progressive candidates we've endorsed like Alan Grayson has been incredible.

Corporations are pouring millions of dollars into the blogosphere trying to compete with bloggers and this new article shows you what's been happening lately. Their new twist to fool America is that they have the nerve to call themselves "bloggers." Paid journalists from corporations are trying to co-opt the term. Nice try, ass-wipes.

C&L has been fighting the good fight ever since it started and as our activism has grown so has the help that is needed from our readers.

You know you've been meaning to kick in five bucks (or more) to C&L's donation drive. Now is a great time to do that.

It's day three for the C&L Donation drive and so far it's going well. Almost 400 people have donated and I thank you.

I'd like to give a shout out to the grand poo bah of our website: Jamie Holly. He's been writing code like a man possessed this year to keep things progressing on C&L. He's one of the people that goes unnoticed on a website like this because he's doing all the back-end work. But he's the one who has crafted our own embed player, implemented the new sites and updated the comment section.

And I'd like to contribute more to his hard work. He's not finished yet and neither are we. Soon we are going to have diaries available for our readers and other very cool features so please, if you can--make a donation to C&L
