LA Times Blogs: Yesterday we learned of the first gubernatorial debate in Ohio history, possibly the United States, in which one candidate accused the other of being applauded by the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).

Now comes John T. Doolittle, already under fire for his connection to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, who is playing the NAMBLA card against his Democratic opponent. But it has emerged that Christianist Doolittle once came to the defense of a dentist convicted of sexually assaulting six patients while they were in his chair.
