The Fred Thompson campaign has seen some tough times lately, confronted with his record as a lobbyist and the subsequent cover-up. That was followed by staff problems at the very top of the campaign.

But rather than kick a man when he's down, we decided to throw him a life vest. The Democratic Party interns paid a visit to his office.

Okay, maybe not the most mature thing to do, but you gotta have some fun on the job occasionally.

Thompson's campaign is really tanking before he even officially gets it off the ground...even the base, whom you'd expect would be embracing him as much as the punditry has been, seems to be worried about Thompson's participation in ...get this, a shadow government.
