I was a dj on San Jose's KSJO when I played an indie single by a band I had never heard of from New Orleans, the Red Rockers. I raved about it. A couple weeks later they showed up at my place in San Francisco. I signed them to my indie label, 415 Records and they made a great punk record, Condition Red. Soon after that CBS bought the company and utterly destroyed the band-- although they had a big hit with a song called China before CBS really got down to brass tacks and did what faceless corporations do as a matter of course. Anyway, here's that first single I raved about on KSJO: "Guns of Revolution."
