Ned Vizzini, Author Of 'It's Kind Of A Funny Story', Dead At 32
If you've read the book or seen the movie, you know it's about a young man struggling with suicidal thoughts. The author's depression got him in the end.
Most of us are old enough that we've lost at least one friend or relative to suicidal depression, and there's not much you can say to make anyone feel better about it. Author Nick Vizzini, husband, son, and father of a young child, got tired of fighting to stay alive and jumped from the roof of his father's house in Brooklyn yesterday.
In addition to his family, he left many, many, many shattered friends and colleagues.
