Chris Christie's Sandy Czar Addresses Hoboken Storm Funding Controversy

Marc Ferzan said the state had to address a variety of needs with the pot of money that Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer is alleging she was shortchanged on.

New Jersey's Hurricane Sandy recovery head called the claim that Hoboken received less than its fair share of disaster aid a “mischaracterization.”

Marc Ferzan, the executive director of the Governor’s Office of Recovery and Rebuilding, said the state had to address a variety of needs with the pot of money that Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer is alleging she was shortchanged on.

Zimmer said she received just $142,000 from the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program despite a request for $100 million.
