Many of his arrangements, like this one, are note-for-note, or deviate very little from the original parts. Combine that with some programmming, virtuosic synth abilities, and audio engineering know-how and you've got yourself an Isao Tomita piece. On top of his arrangements, he's also a very accomplished composer, having written several film scores and releasing original work.
