TRENTON — Four New Jersey homeowners have been charged with fraudulently collecting thousands of dollars in Hurricane Sandy relief money from the federal government, the state Attorney General's Office said today.

In all four cases, the homeowners are accused of falsely claiming that storm-damaged homes at the Jersey Shore were their primary homes, which is a requirement under the relief programs, when in fact they were vacation homes, authorities said.
