An upcoming episode of Nightline Prime explores the world of “purity balls,” specifically one that has been held at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs for the last 14 years. These events, which take place in 17 countries and 48 states here in the US, are focused on young girls promising to abstain from all sexual activity, including kissing, and placing their virginity under their fathers’ protection.
In a clip from the episode, one father tells his daughter:
