Some Like It Hot (1959)

As I looked over this week's line up, it brought to mind this scene from the Some Like It Hot, where Tony Curtis and Marilyn Monroe try to impress the other with their (faked) wealth and society and Monroe's character, Sugar, ends with a weary "...And always with the same 400."

And so it is with the Sunday shows. Lots of talk about wealth in a way that's meaningless and without substance and it's always the same people. John McCain, Bill Kristol, Mike Rogers, George Will, Karl Rove and on and on.

Karoli cajoled you to sign her CREDO petition asking the networks to bring more diversity to their guest lists. I'm asking you too, because I'm running out of ways to say, "Same ol', same ol'" one more time. Wouldn't it be great for us to gather around and see some progressives and people of color -- hell, wouldn't it be nice just to have some new voices-- on these shows?
