Sister Simone Campbell Takes Dinesh D'Souza To School On Minimum Wage

Sister Simone Campbell took wingnut author Dinesh D'Souza to school on the need to raise the minimum wage and what is really undermining our innovation in America during Real Time's overtime segment this Friday.

This was a thing of beauty to behold. During the on line overtime segment following this Friday's Real Time with Bill Maher, Sister Simone Campbell, famous for her "nuns on the bus" tour took wingnut author Dinesh D'Souza to task when he tried to diminish the need to raise the minimum wage, and then again when he tried to pretend that what Republicans really care about is keeping innovation alive.

This is what happens when you have someone who is plain spoken, who tells the truth about what these policies mean to everyday people's lives and they have a chance to go up against someone who is used to pushing bullshit conservative talking points day in and day out that are never properly challenged. Well, D'Souza was challenged here and was taken to school.

Bill Maher asked Campbell earlier in the show if she'd ever consider running for office and prior to the back and forth between Campbell and D'Souza above, Arianna Huffington joked about a Warren/Campbell ticket for 2016. Count me in if anyone could talk both of them into running.
