C&L's Late Nite Music Club With Komar & Melamid And Dave Soldier

For tonight's Music Club, we have for you an amalgamation of genres all brought together for the sake of experimentation.

Titled "The Most Unwanted Song," this piece has a pretty interesting back story. The three guys who composed the piece conducted a poll to see which musical elements annoy people the most. Understanding that everyone has different tastes, they simply used the ones that were most often listed as annoying: cowboy music, accordions, bagpipes, opera, rap music, children's voices, tubas, drum machines, and advertising jingles. And by "used," I mean they took all of that stuff and mashed it together into one big composition. The result is a sonic disaster: accordions playing cowboy music, children's choirs singing commercial jingles, and opera singers rapping over drum machines and tubas. However, it makes for a great experiment and is good for a laugh. I also found that it made me analyze the aspects of western pop music and why the opinion on some of these things has changed, but that's a discussion for another day.

Got any favorite "annoying" music?
