C&L's Late Nite Music Club With Miles Davis

Named for his wife, a ballerina named Frances, Miles Davis puts his spin on a nursery rhyme.

The head of this tune comes from a nursery rhyme called "Put Your Little Foot," which Miles arranged into a jazz piece and entitled it "Fran Dance," as a tribute to his then-wife, a dancer. Some might think it a bit whimsical for Miles, but an artist as spontaneous as him is capable of some pretty unexpected stuff.
