Bill O’Reilly Goes Right Back To Denying ‘White Privilege’ Following Dustup With Jon Stewart

Surprise, surprise... Bill O'Reilly does a little selective editing of his interview with Jon Stewart and doubles down on his assertions about white privilege.

For anyone who was not already sure that Jon Stewart attempting to get through to the thick skull of Fox's Bill O'Reilly on the issue of white privilege on The Daily Show this Wednesday was going to prove to be about as productive as arguing with a box of rocks, Bill-O decided to leave no doubt during his Tip of the Day segment on The O'Reilly Factor this Thursday.

No hard feelings: Bill O’Reilly goes back to denying existence of ‘white privilege’:

“Pushing the ‘white privilege’ theory creates victimization,” O’Reilly said. “It gives people an excuse to fail or to do bad things. What happened in the past is important to understand, but creating current policy around it is foolish.”

O’Reilly made the same argument on Stewart’s show, saying that systemic prejudice against the Black community was a thing of the past.

“Maybe you haven’t figured out that there is no more slavery, no more Jim Crow,” O’Reilly said at the time. “The most powerful man in the world is a Black American, and the most powerful woman in the world, Oprah Winfrey, is Black.”

While O’Reilly showed a clip from the discussion, he did not air the moment where he acknowledged to Stewart that the social phenomenon is “a factor” in peoples’ everyday lives. He did, though, say that neither he nor the Daily Show host came away with any rancor.

Selective editing again. He's been doing that to Stewart for years now. The more things change, the more they stay the same. O'Reilly's still wrong on almost every issue, gets owned by Stewart any time he goes head to head with him, and will never show his audience how badly he got his ass served to him when he goes on The Daily Show.
