Milwaukee County Sheriff: Obama's Call For Calm In Ferguson Done With 'Wink And A Nod'
No, really. He said that.
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke claims he is a Democrat, but is anything but. He goes to Tea Party rallies and uses taxpayer money to tell people to buy guns and not to call him to fight crime.
Being the good little right-wingnut that he is, he is often called upon by Faux News to make idiot comments. With the injustice that occurred in Ferguson this week and the subsequent protests, Clarke was a natural to comment on this and he did not disappoint anyone expecting him to be an ass.
Clarke blamed the rioting in Ferguson on President Barack Obama:
"When I heard the president call for calm after the rioting started, I questioned his sincerity because some of his political strategy of divide and conquer fuels this sort of racial animosity between people," Clarke said. "And so, I think when he called for calm after the rioting started, I believe it was done with a wink and a nod."
Now, far be it for me to question the sheriff's ability to judge a person's character or motivation, but I will point out that in the dozen years he's been in office, his claim to fame is helping a drunk driver out of a snow bank.
