QOTD: Laura Ingraham On The Senate Torture Report

Right-wing hate-talker Laura Ingraham believes we've got two choices when it comes to our treatment of prisoners... torture or feeding them Big Macs.

Right-wing hate-talker Laura Ingraham with one of the more ridiculous things I heard out of any of the pundits' mouths on the Sunday bobble head shows this weekend. Here she is with the latest version of the we either torture or "coddle the terrorists" talking point the right is so fond of on ABC's This Week, when host Martha Raddatz asked her what she thought about the release of the Senate torture report.

RADDATZ: I want to turn to the torture report released this week on The Hill. I just want some very quick impressions of -- and I'm going to start with you, Laura.

INGRAHAM: I think we have to remember the way we felt after 9/11. I didn't like everything I saw in this report. I think it was a one-sided report, though, and I was here in Washington. I watched the Pentagon in flames. And people wanted anything done possible.

Now in the light of the day it looks really stark. But it...

RADDATZ: ...should not be done going forward?

INGRAHAM: Well, it's not going to be done going forward.

I think if someone kidnapped your kid and you know that he knows where your child is, you wouldn't probably give him a Big Mac, you'd probably push him up against the wall. We have to remember that.

What we need to remember is that terrorizing Americans as the right wing did after 9-11 led to us invading a country that was not a threat to us and that had nothing to do with the attacks on the Twin Towers and that torturing prisoners has not kept us safe from another terrorist attack.
