C&L's Late Nite Music Club With The Big Bopper
Today is the anniversary of "The Day the Music Died," when a plane carrying Ritchie Valens, the Big Bopper, and Buddy Holly crashed in Iowa, an incident which took all three musicians' lives.
In memory of these great musicians, here's the Big Bopper doing a great job as a showman in the character that he created. All of these musicians were integral to the popularity of rock music that would inspire many offshoot genres and new musical styles in the years to come. Although music was still made after the loss of these three musicians, that event did mark the end of the traditional rock 'n' roll era.
