Trump Says His Tough Immigration Stance Might Have Prevented 9/11

Trump wants us to believe he'd have kept the Saudis who attacked us on 9/11 out of the country if he had been president.

Donald Trump continued his ongoing feud with Jeb! over his comments that his brother kept us safe after 9/11 on this weekend's Fox News Sunday, and told host Chris Wallace if he were president the attacks would not have happened on his watch, because he'd have kept those Saudis who attacked us from coming into the country in the first place.

Trump: My immigration policies would have prevented 9/11:

Donald Trump says that his immigration policies would have prevented the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks from taking place.

“I am extremely, extremely tough on illegal immigration. I am extremely tough on people coming into this country," Trump said on "Fox News Sunday." "I believe that if I were running things, I doubt that those people would have been in the country."

The Republican front-runner has made criticisms of former President George W. Bush, brother of primary opponent Jeb Bush, a central part of his campaign strategy.

“I’m not blaming George Bush,” Trump said. “But I don’t want Jeb to say 'my brother kept us safe.' ”

“We lost 3,000 people, it as one of the greatest – probably the greatest catastrophe ever in this country,” Trump said.

Trump may be a loud mouthed racist carnival barker, but you can give him credit for one thing. You can stick a fork in Bush now that he's taken the bait and responded to Trump on this issue.
