C&L's Late Nite Music Club With George Harrison
The Quiet One Went Silent
It was 14 years ago today that the world lost George Harrison.
It was also 45 years ago this week that his 3rd solo album, the 3 record set All Things Must Pass, was released to the world. It was his first album as an ex-Beatle to go to #1 on both the US and UK charts.
There are plenty of prime songs to pick from the album but also, since it was a 3 record set spanning over 105 minutes originally, there are some thing I wouldn't necessarily call filler but perhaps a bit of indulgence. I mean, after all, he was a Beatle and no record executive was going to tell him "Hey George, you think you could trim the fat a little." I decided to flip a coin between my two most favorite songs off the album, "Wah-Wah" and "Isn't It A Pity." The former won the toss.
What are you listening to tonight.
