Sign The Petition: Get Bottled Water Out Of Our National Parks

Don't let Big Water have their way. Let's clean up our national parks!

The International Bottled Water Association, an industry trade association and a mouthpiece for Nestle in Congress, wants to stop our national parks from increasing access to tap water and becoming bottled-water-free.

We can’t let this happen. More and more national parks are becoming bottled-water-free, profoundly reducing our ecological footprint in these natural treasures. And when parks promote the tap instead of bottled water, it sends a message that reverberates far and wide: Bottled water is anything but green, and like our parks, our drinking water is not for sale.

By becoming bottled-water-free, our national parks are leading by example by protecting not only the environment, but also the human right to water. We must stop the bottled water industry’s aggressive attempt to curb this growing movement.

Sign the petition to tell your Member of Congress:

Bottled water has devastating environmental impacts, from the petroleum-based bottle production to the billions of pounds of plastic that wind up as landfill or litter each year. And in our precious national parks, plastic water bottles are a huge source of waste – making up about a third of all garbage in surveyed parks. That is why national parks are taking a stand and becoming bottled-water-free. Pledge to support our national parks’ efforts to buck the bottle and to prevent bottled water industry attempts to sabotage this commonsense sustainability policy.

Join a long line of progressive groups in support for cutting this source of trash. Sign the petition!
