It gives me great pleasure to know that Jimmy Greene's "Beautiful Life," which I first wrote about a year ago, was nominated for a Grammy.

Green wrote on Facebook today:

Ana loved to sing and she sang beautifully. That is why I made sure her singing voice was on the first track of Beautiful Life. The world needs a lot right now, but I felt that hearing her voice and knowing her name would be important for people going forward. The Chesky brothers, Norman and David, donated their resources to ensure that her voice could be heard by many. All of the amazing musicians, engineers, photographers and Mack Avenue label folks involved in the production and distribution of Beautiful Life poured their everything into my vision. Now I'm thankful to say that Beautiful Life has been nominated for TWO Grammy Awards, one for Best Jazz Instrumental Album and one for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals for my song "When I Come Home." Thank you to all the NARAS voting membership for this humbling honor. Although I wish this album never had to be made, I am thankful that many more will hopefully hear her voice, a voice that our God would not allow to be silenced!

It is some comfort to know this little girl's voice lives on.
