With an historic donor number now reaching two million separate contributions and a very substantial endorsement from the Communications Workers of America, Senator Bernie Sanders is having a memorable day on the campaign trail.

The most popular tweeter from the GOP Debate, Senator Sanders is also winning where it counts: in the donation realm.

With Sanders nearing the 2 million mark, his campaign made a big push this week through email solicitations to cross the threshold.

An online ticker set up Wednesday night kept track of the number of donations as it neared 2 million. The goal was surpassed at 8:11 p.m., according to the ticker.

Aides said that Sanders had raised $1.1 million on Wednesday alone and $2.4 million since announcing his push on Monday.

Sanders has already taken in more individual contributions than Obama did at this point in his 2008 campaign for president. Aides to Sanders said they are confident by the end of the year, Sanders will have more than the 2.2 million donations that Obama did during the equivalent stretch in the 2012 race.

It was also announced this morning on Twitter that Bernie garnered the endorsement of the Communications Workers Union.

The union represents about half a million dues-paying members in telecommunications and information technology, news media, broadcast and cable television, and airlines.

It’s the third national union endorsement for Sanders, who received the backing of National Nurses United in August and the American Postal Workers Union in November. Combined, those unions represent about one million members. But Hillary Clinton has the lion's share of union endorsements from unions representing more than 10 million of the 14.6 million union members in the U.S.

It's hard to predict what is going to play out, but there's no denying that many Americans are certainly Feeling the Bern! He outclasses the ridiculous GOP clown show on every possible metric.
