Donald Rumsfeld Is Now An IOS Game 'Creative Director'

There's a career move for you.

I won't bet that this is the weirdest story of the week, as it's only Monday. Engadget h/t Jamie:

Like him or hate him, Donald Rumsfeld has been a jack of all trades -- and apparently, that now includes mobile games. The veteran politician has teamed up with programmers to release Churchill Solitaire, an iOS game based on the card game that Winston Churchill supposedly played to sharpen his strategic thought processes.

I guess if they'll never put you on trial for war crimes, you can do whatever you want. You can even write a post at Medium (Oh Rummy, you hipster!) about your gaming joooorney.

It’s a card game that can frustrate even the most skilled player because a single move can make or break an entire game. A number of hands are simply unwinnable. But the most steadfast players will gamely soldier on to find their way to victory.i

Unless you wind up tortured at Abu Graib or killed by an IED searching for non-existent weapons of mass destruction, but I digress.

Rumsfeld's involvement in this project appears to consist of getting the Churchill family to sign off on the use of Winston's name, likeness, and voice clips. Both the Churchill's and Rumsfeld are donating their proceeds to 'charity.' I hope that means some fund that helps Iraq war refugees and wounded warriors, rather than John Bolton's 501-c-3.
