The Nevada GOP Caucus Was A 'Sh*t Show'
Disorganized and designed for cheating, much?
NOTE: This post embeds tweets from conservatives on Twitter. They were on the ground reporting and documenting the chaos in Nevada. No endorsement of anyone's Twitter stream is implied here. -eds.
It's true, casinos have rules that favor the house. From an outsider's perspective, it's cheating.
We usually don't feature bloggers from the conservative National Review Online here at Crooks and Liars, but @ElainaPlott's Twitter stream is worth perusing, just to see from the ground what was going on in Nevada.

Last night's Nevada GOP Caucuses were chaotic, to say the least. But what is more important, the rules that the Nevada GOP claims were in place and being obeyed seem to favor that chaos in a way that denies valid voter participation as well as accurate vote counting.
So I cant bring a cell phone to a black jack table .. but I can wear campaign gear collecting ballots at an election https://t.co/IUwWa6rLpx

What is the end game for an election process if not to get voters to vote, and then count the votes accurately? Apparently, the Nevada GOP had something else in mind. Three examples.
1. The rules apparently allow for people to wear Trump shirts and hats while counting votes and otherwise supervising the caucus process. I could say this was a general rule but every example I saw on Twitter last night was a Trumpeter.

2. While anyone can be forgiven for needing to compensate for unexpected turnout, the Nevada GOP was particularly unprepared. One polling place was not set up at all, and voters who showed up there went home rather than be re-routed.
New: People registered for precinct 1303 in Sierra Vista showed up to caucus. There was literally no site set up.

It seems the handful of people who stuck around the Sierra Vista-non precinct were sent to precinct 1307. But I'm told most went home.

3. There were widespread reports of a lack of ballots. What I want to know is, why during a CAUCUS are you using ballots at all? The Democrats had specific instructions that they would be getting into groups to determine delegate outcomes, you know, like in a caucus.
Moreover, @bluegal @elainaplott NV Republicans can drop in all day & fill out ballots. Don't know definition of caucus, apparently.

A Congressional candidate (okay, Michelle Fiore, The Armed Angel of Verdun/Malheur) paid for the printing of the ballots and advertised such ON THE BALLOTS?!?
How in the world does a congressional candidate (@votefiore) get to donate printing to caucus ballots? It's insane. pic.twitter.com/ZulEQkS2hl

Of course, the Nevada GOP says all is well.
Heck of a job, @NVGOP.
