Sean Hannity Snickers With Donald Trump Over His Sick Scalia 'Joke'

Hannity called Trump's "joke" about Obama attending Scalia's funeral at a mosque "the funniest I ever read."

During what was essentially an hour-long infomercial for Donald Trump’s presidency, Hannity took time out to rehab Trump’s “secret Muslim” swipe at President Obama over the weekend.

In case you missed it, Trump tweeted on Saturday, “I wonder if President Obama would have attended the funeral of Justice Scalia if it were held in a Mosque? Very sad that he did not go!”

Trump insisted it was a joke after he was taken to task by BFF Joe Scarborough for saying such a thing just a few days after Trump complained, in response to Pope Francis’ criticism of Trump, “No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith."

So good foot-soldier Hannity made a point of bringing up the tweet and calling it a knee slapper.

HANNITY: Let me ask this. What about – some of your critics and even some of your supporters, “Oh, Donald Trump says something controversial. He sends out a tweet that was controversial.” You sent one out this weekend and I thought it was one of the funniest I ever read. You were making a point about the president not going to Justice’s (sic) Scalia’s [funeral], which he should have. And then you made a comment and the media – it seems we’ve become humorless but you’re shattering that ceiling of political correctness.

Trump explained the nature of his “joke” and, just as Hannity had set it up, got laughter, cheers and applause from the audience.

Who was the audience? Hannity said at the beginning, it was “made up of people from hundreds of people from local Republican political organizations and groups, friends and frequent guests on this program, Trump supporters and volunteers provided, by the way, to us by his campaign and others who heard about the event on my radio show.”

In other words, not a single unfriendly face for tough-guy Trump.

Feel free to send Hannity your own jokes that shatter political correctness at @SeanHannity.
