When this record came out new over 20 years ago Punk rock was having quite a heyday in the USA.A lot of so called punk rock bands were all over the radio and MTV and another mutation of it called grunge had already been around a few years as a mainstream entity. Problem was, there was something missing from the sound. Something actually volatile, blazing and, well, wild rock-n-roll.

The New Bomb Turks Destroy! Oh Boy brought that feeling and fire back to some people. I know I did my share to spread the gospel of it playing to everyone who would lend it an ear back then.
